Must add that Paul Kent on NRL360 was a bit of a knob last night. I am normally impressed with his position on most things but when asked about Parra coaching position he said (paraphrasing)..

"They can't seem to make up their minds at the Eels, one day they want Brian Smith as a coaching director another they want Peter Sharp and now it's Tim Sheens. It just shows what sort of a basket case they are over there."

Which I thought was unfair as we are entitled to interview and take as much time as it takes to make (hopefully) the right decision. If it was Storm or the Roosters (or even St George who seem to be as uncertain as us about coaching direction) they would be immune from this sort of criticism.

He stated that there will not be a Coaching Director at Parra. There will be a General Manager - Football appointed who will overseer the entire gig from U7's to NRL.

They are in no hurry appointing anyone and will do so when they have concluded their due diligence.

so the whole sheens story was bullshit and once again the media are just tossing up random names at any eels vacancy why am i not surprised

He's just upset that Eel no 481 only ever got to play 1 first grade game in 1989.....

Well done Pou. I like this appointment. I wonder if Parish is the assistant?

You would think that if Arthur comes here that Parish might go back to Manly. I hear he is keen to stay in Sydney. I know he lived up on the Central Coast a while back, not sure if that is still the case.

Don't forget this one:

Ricky won't be coming to Parramatta. Hes already verbally comitted to Canberra for 2013. End of story.

and this one from May last year:

JT will be at the Eels in a matter of weeks. You can count on it

Anyway, Shakamaker doesn't post here often because he is a dedicated member of the other site. They are all in love with Jason Taylor over there. They will top themselves if Brad Arhtur's gets the job.

FYI Trent Barrett was asked by Stuart to be an assistant coach and he turned it down last minute for a higher offer at Penrith.

Ronny Palmer was given by a source at the time, didn't eventuate.

Source for Jason Taylor? Can't reveal that here but I'm told he's already picking out assistant coaches. Roosters requested this not be released until after the their season was over so as not to disrupt any prep.

I don't live at any other forums, sorry to dissapoint. I only drop in here every 2 months or so to read all the gossip.

Ricky Stuart was after the Canberra gig for 2013 but wouldnt go until they sacked Furner. Canberra didn't sack Furner at that time and Ricky stated he didnt end up going to Canberra because there wasn't a vacancy. Ricky got his wish just recently.

Shakamaker was good when it beat Breeny's Fella in the Interdom final many years ago. Good pacer, grossly inaccurate tipster. Makes a mockery of the expression 'straight from the horse's mouth'. Go back to the 'other site' you apparently came from. I'm assuming its redtoob or something of that ilk. (Spelt incorrectly intentionally)

Sounds like it's just down to JT & Angry Face, so it's pretty good odds if you're into making shit up on forums.

Sounds like someone woke up on the wrong side of the cot.

Last I heard this was a discussion forum for Eels fans where people can share information about their team.

Not everyone's expectations or predictions always turn out to be accurate as I am sure the Eels Board can attest.
