I'm pretty sure the DT (in classic fashion) went from the vague quotes from Hayne in the article Joshuatheeel posted to Hayne and the playing group backing Arthur in the blink of an eye. Perhaps the playing group do support Arthur over Taylor but there is no quote from Hayne, as far as I know.
Up until the last few days, I actually thought that the club had handled the process fairly well. The media had constantly been nipping at our heels claiming a number of coaches were turning us down but the board kept relatively quiet and got about doing their job.
Sharp has been a massive disappointment in the last ~48 hours with his ability to be baited into lengthy comments by the media. If he is to remain the Chairman, he needs to redirect all calls from the media to Scott Seward and understand that his opinion is not the be-all-end-all.
In the end, either Brad Arthur or Jason Taylor will get the job done. If making that final decision means several more board meetings than so be it but don't play it out in the DT and don't sulk if others don't agree with your opinion.
