What would we do as supporters if the club was professional? We'd be bored shitless

This has gone beyond anything we've seen, it really is just a joke! We are an embarrassment, the league should just relocate us to the Central Coast or something, f**k all the morons off and start again, that's what these merkins deserve!

The footy club doesn't need relocation...but it does need being taken out of the control of the the LC (for the short-term at least). The footy operation is worth plenty right where it is (if you consider the total benefits / costs at all levels of the NRL). As I've said before, appoint an administrator for the football franchise, call for tenders for a 5 year license to operate the franchise, re-tender in 5 years with the Parra Leagues Club being allowed last option to match the highest bid. If they can get their arse into gear by then...good...if not they can concentrate on poker machines and escalators.

Stoked the members voted for an 80s legend with passion for the jersey. That's just what we f**ken needed.

Maybe Pricey can be our next chairman.
i'm sure if the media approached him he'd say that only he and brett kenny could save us.

i think that regardless of whether it's arthur or taylor that they will enjoy the support of pretty close to (if not) the full parra supporter base.

also wish that they would name the coach quickly. i am a big believer that the leadership group, whoever is a part of it, need to sit down with the coach well before pre-season so they are all on the same page and know what is expected of them and the playing squad.

Wasn't it reported the players wanted a rookie coach? Taylor has coached 89 first grade games.

Coaches coach, players play

Just friggin make the appointment, draw the line in the sand and move on

They should look at how the juniors league is run currently, the development area and the how the junior league clubs work to succeed and take their lead. It's not rocket science

if it's Taylor it doesn't seem he'll have the backing of the players though

Why?

Haven't read anywhere the players don't want Taylor.

The players have not stated what coach they want. This stuff about the players wanting Arthur is not true. They have suggested a few options to the board which may or may not include Arthur

. Hayne admitted the players threw forward several names.

"Yeah, I threw up some names but I will keep that confidential," Hayne said.

"It is up to the board to make a decision that is best suited to the club."

Hayne even states it is up to the board to appoint the best option

Yes Hayne did:

. "We would prefer a junior coach ? a bloke that is looking for his first crack," Parramatta fullback Jarryd Hayne said.

But he also said it is up to the board to appoint the best option for the club
