With all due respect, the "Eel Pit" sounds much better than "The Swarm".

Thanks anyway for your input.

Suity

A bit boring and cliché isn't it Suity. Where is your sense of originality? The pit is so commonplace and BOOOOOORING!!!!

Let's just call ourselves, ''O'Connell Street Elite"

become a hooligan firm (soccer styles) and beat the sh*te out of other supporters:D.

Problem is HJ, we are so far from being an army, it ain't funny.

Suity

You look ahead to where you want to be.

What if we become one? We change our name? Or stay with a name when the one we should then have isn't used?

Build it and they will come.

I just had a call from Paul Osborne regarding this issue.

It unfortunately has been decided that a bay in the northern terrace will be allocated next season for this army.
Season ticket renewals will be going out shortly, and this will be part of the options.

I'm trying to serve up dinner, so I'll be back later with more information.

It can and will, still work.

No worries. I'm reluctant to change if this is the case. Will be more than happy to participate in away games.

cheers suity.

as i posted earlier in response to similar information from mits, there's a lot of logic in the club putting a bay where oversize flags etc are encouraged in the northern terrace rather than anywhere else.

as suity says, this can still work - people who want to participate in such a bay at home will have the chance to do so through their sth purchase, and others joining them casually through the season in the seats that remain unsold in that bay.

the away game idea can work too, and should probably now take up the most effort on our parts, in case there is a chance to promote this through the club before the start of the season as well.

if both home and away aspects of this are well patronised in 2010, then the club can look at it's formal support for a group in the season after 2011 - which may or may not include a change of home ground bay (depending on the club's need to cater for the needs of all patrons who attend games, not just the noisier and more visual ones).

I would be very happy to support the away games idea of sitting together. I would have to think about changing where my sth seats would be, but it is not a definate no.:D

Yeah, I dunno if I'd give up my current seat to go back to the hill, but, I have friends who are thinking of buying season tickets for the North Terrace next year. If they do, I may consider it. Or I may just keep my seats and buy casual tickets for what I know will be big games.

no, some of us are supportive of the home game rowdy bay in concept and wish it every success for those who choose to get involved.
