Don't get me wrong.. I'm all for making an Army but I hate watching footy from behind the posts..

But I'll go with what PG said

Just for SFS games Bay 38 was awesome.. I say we sit there :D

I have to agree with WC here. It sucks watching the footy behind the posts.

Wouldn't mind if the hill was still around but the seats... no ty

No HJ, it's because you can see f**k all from behind the posts. I'm all for getting together and making noise but I generally like to watch football while I'm there too.

btw I can't see why the East Terrace couldn't be allocated. I seem to remember a large number of Sharks in one of the bays over there this year, can't have had too many ST's in them!

Very good choice! But we better not get too ahead of ourselves...it's quite a big IF.

That's why I said IF. I don't actually want to come 8th.. but no matter what we should try our HARDEST to get a group together for the game.. Should the game be in Sydney

If you're talking about having big flags, over sized banners, when you're on the side of the field that stuff may interfere with viewing of people in the bays immediatley adjacent?

Unless of course, it's down in the corners, in which case you see just as much from behind the posts. As I've mentioned earlier, suppporter groups work well for soccer when they're located behind the posts.

I just posted the following in the poll thread, but thought it should maybe be in here as well................................

Rightio,

Just further on my post regarding the call from Paul Osborne.

He also added that the club plans to get large banners and signs made up that will be provided to the supporters Bay. He also mentioned pom poms :?. I think he meant those AFL style things which I reckon we can do without, but I won't focus on any neagtives atm.

He mentioned that if a Bay is situated on the side, the signs/banners etc... would/could inhibit the viewing lines of other fans. He also said that he believes we are very lucky at Parramatta to have such a great seated stadium, where a supporters bay can be provided that still provides a comfortable position.

I mentioned to him that our plan would probably be to now support any move of the club to set up the bay, with the proviso from our part that there will be ongoing communication with the club to make any adjustments/improvements for the following season, including looking at moving to a side bay if possible.

He also mentioned that he/the Board had met with a group of fans discussing this and other issues. That part I was unaware of and I would have liked that information to be shared on here. I'll see what I can find out tonight regarding this.

Lastly, I made it very very clear that I appreciated his efforts to get involved in this matter, and to personally take the time to give me a call.

He left me his mobile number and said that I could call him at any time.

It is such a pleasure to have such a wonderful person taking the reigns at the club now.

The other thing about being at the northern terrace, it does, if demand warrants it, allow future years to be expanded into adjacent bays with minimal disruption compared to the eastern and western terraces

With all this, I hope it doesn't go like the swamp or the old supporters club flags that were lost somewhere,

All this has happened before, and it will happen again.

It would be easy to sign them in and out on match day, and they be stored at the Leagues Club.

I don't know about having them signed in an out but the old flags used to be stored at the Leagues club. No one seems to know where they are now.
