So according to 10 News, on the agenda for the meeting is the board want Hayne made captain and bringing in someone to help Kearney, possibly Graham Murray.

Murray as a coaching consultant ? His record isn't all that flash. He is a former Eel though so Muz is always welcome IMO.

Good idea. Put the blow torch and spotlight on Hayne and see how he responds.

He did alright. Got both the Roosters and Cowboys to grand finals. Plus he has nearly 20 years experience as a head coach in first grade. If he wasn't doing something right he wouldn't have kept employment for so long. Having someone with that kind of experience would take the pressure of Kearney in a lot of aspects.

Bringing in Murray is a good idea sk needs someone there with a bit of experience.

On the captaincy...it's not a bad thing changing the captain for the future. And if hayne gets it it will assure his resigning IMO

I disagree with that. The coach and the players should be the only ones to have any say in who should they think the right person to be captain is. That is something the board should have nothing to do with. They're not involved enough to make such decisions.

Whose to say it was wholey the boards decision. Maybe it came out of all the meetings Bentley had today.

I was just commenting on what was said on the News, and it was reported the board want Hindy dumped as captain in favour of Hayne. Don't shoot the messenger. I don't think the board have actually had their meeting yet, and I doubt any 'decision' regards to such a thing has actually been made.
