Eels game.

The way he is playing of late would make little difference
Now you point it out he does seem to have lost of a lot of the aggression and vigour he showed earlier in the season, but he’s not alone there.
Weather that’s just a result of the “power game” we insist on playing the whole season, being busted like a lot of the others, or signing with the Warriors, who knows?

People on this forum put too much weight to post match interviews.

First of all, they are obligated to give post match interviews to Fox.

Second of all, they are trained to give away as little as possible. If Tyson says "we are lost at sea" it would create a media shitstorm and a huge distraction for the coming week. People on here have already blasted the coach for putting blame on certain players - and rightly so. You keep that shit behind closed doors.
Yeah but Kearnys last post match interview where he blasted his players had the desired effect the next week.
McGregors continued “ nothing to see here” comment don’t.

Despite their place on the table, the eels are in good form. Much better form than the warriors.

They're also smart enough to send a lot of attack at our right edge defense.

This could be ugly if we don't get our shit together.

I remember the last time we were embarrassingly tailed up by Parramatta on a Sat arvo game mid May 2014. That was Price's last game in charge.
Then over to the caretaker Mary. The club is still looking for a suitable replacement for Price.

As if things are not bad enough , now Parramatta’s Corey Norman is asking his teammates for even greater efforts in their remaining games , may the footy gods smile down upon us and keep the Dragons safe .

Parra are in good form.
Hayne and Jennings brothers will be dangerous.
French is lightning quick - watch for grubbers behind our defensive line.
The halves are starting to play good football. They are hot and cold but if they click, we are in serous trouble.
Gutherson - he has looked slow to regain form after he came back from a long spell with injury.
After the weekend, he looks back to his best running more than 200m.
Unless our forwards dominate, we are in for a torrid encounter.
Finally - Nathan Brown was awesome against the Titans and adds some real starch to their pack.
We will have to play at our best to beat Parra in the mood they're in.

Isnt it funny we are talking about a team coming last as if the Dragons are about to play a Top 4 side and apprehensive about this weeks encounter and outcome. Boy what a slide and shattered confidence.
I think in 2014 when Parra put a cricket score on us to zip they were a Top 4 side coached by Brad Arthur. Could this be de jevu. McGregor to be axed after Parra thrash us. Dean Young caretaker coach :)

Unfortunately, when I look at the line ups on paper that is the only conclusion I can come to while at the same time hoping something changes.
As for Dean Young caretaker coach it would be like the inmates running the asylum.
I say leave McGregor there until the bitter end and clear the decks after that.

Yeah, I’m not confident either BSE, I know we can win, know we should win this one easy but shit something’s not right in the group. Hope they fire up like you said and our halves take control.

Bookies still have us firm favourites against Parra.

They need to find the attitude they had in Rnd 1 v Broncos, whatever they did then worked because they had shit to average trial form - complete turn around the next 8 rounds. That turn in attitude needs to be found again.

Penrith sacking aint gonna make Mary any more confident or willing to take chances on changes so it’s down to attitude I think.

Returning after a long break using Dad's old name. I haven't commented for a long time but my frustration has reached boiling point over the last few weeks. We played so stupidly last week against the Warriors. We have lost twice to them where they used the same tactics against us - they stayed offside and rushed up out wide. In both games we tried to constantly go around them rather than drawing the Warriors in by punching up the middle. In the second half we did play up the middle and scored two quick tries and then we went back to the same old same old, cut out pass, try to go wide and use Dufty coming in between centres. Predictable and slow. I just don't get it. Even allowing for Mary, we have five State of Origin players, two English internationals, a NZ international and several Islander reps, yet we refuse to move from the set script. Mind you I don't know how the Warriors didn't have a player binned. Our players needed to fight more to get to their feet and they should have constantly complained to the referee.

If Nightingale, and more importantly, Aitken are in the run on side you will hear my scream from one corner of Sydney to the other. Aitken's defence is appalling, as it was through a lot of last year. He had a hand in all three Warrior tries and his much vaulted strength was not evident as he was simply shrugged off by the Warrior's backs. It started with the first Warriors break within the first five minutes by RTS who simply ran through him. That step around an injured Inglis was largely the last positive thing he has done. Lomax at least has size, pace and creativity. He might be green but could he be worse than Aitken at the moment? In game after game he and Nightingale are targeted as coaches know that we are terribly weak there. Lafai is not great but at least he can tackle most of the time. Aitken was smashed by Melbourne, the Roosters and the Tigers. Parramatta will target him again this week and their outside backs are fast. Look Aitken can play but when his confidence is down he rushes in and panics. At the beginning of the year he seemed to trust his instincts and those around him. At the moment he has no confidence and we will see Parra players lining up to run at him.
