Rubbish, you can easily rule out one of those choices.
Actually if we delve down into it further, there’s actually a great likely hood of a change..

First option is change or no change, a 1:2 (50%) chance..

But if we pull apart the reason for the change we are left with two factors which drive the change - forced (injury, therefore player unavailable), or unforced (form based, so player available but not selected).

Which means we are left with three possible outcomes:
- change, forced
- change, unforced
- no change

Therefore as each outcome has a 1:3 chance, there is a 2:3 chance that a change is made to the team..

So what? Saying MacGregor is a successful coach is also statistically correct.
Depends on your comparative data set and measure of success.

If we look at games coached and work off a greater than 50% win rate as being the tipping point..

He’s won 54, lost 53 - which gives him a 50.5% success rate - so technically successful, albeit by the narrowest of margins.

But a loss this week would bring it down to exactly 50% - so neither successful nor unsuccessful.

A win would only lift him to 50.9%, so losing this weekend would actually have a greater impact on his overall career than a win (-0.5 vs +0.4)

Of course, if we compare him to Price (so expanding our data set) who had a 37.9% success rate, Mary is the far superior coach of the two. Let’s not forget, we made the finals in 2015

But if we further expand the data set and include Bellamy with a 68.1% success rate, this tells us that Bellamy is a better coach than McGregor, by a bigger margin than McGregor is better than Price.

My kid recently got 51% on a maths test, he’s still an idiot.

Look, I’m not going to comment on your family situation or how far apples fall from trees or anything like that..

However.. when you have a 50-50 chance of an outcome (win/loss) anthing greater than the median indicates a positive factor..

So for our mate Mary, if he loses this weekend he’s right on the precipice of switching to the wrong side of the ledger..

Huge match for his this Saturday..

So, we are around 30 mins from seeing, most probably, the biggest decision in McGregors coaching career.

Biggest decision to date.

I hope the biggest decision in his career is the team list he puts out on Tuesday September 25, 2018..
