That might be true M, but if Max is not wanted next year then surely debuting someone who IS staying is more sensible, just to see if they could step up to FG. It's not as if a loss might cost us a spot in the finals!
We're in furious agreement. I'm pointing to how thin our ranks are. There are a few young guys who may as well get a run - it's not as if were going to lose anything after all, is it?

Sheer madness if Bird goes to centre, why not give the other

I think Max is playing on the right with Zac on the left which is... not what I wanted to see. Anyway, this looks to be Max's last chance at proving himself in the Red V. As for Bird, why tf is he in at Toby's expense?
Hopefully it's all about 2024. If Bird sucks he is one step closer to retirement. If he has a good game maybe someone will take him off our hands. Same for Max. Toby is a lockin for 2024 so nothing to gain really by watching him. Better to see how Ryan goes.
