After watching last night's match, even though it was against lesser quality opposition I don't think these players would have made too much difference.

Difficult question to answer but it's neither.. But at the same time they're not necessarily lost to the club.

Latham and Grant I understand. Kamikamica and Manleleulua seems a bit strange. They didn't do too badly last year. If they aren't lost to the club it isn't a bad thing. Kami may need a bit more size to go with his speed.

Tui played in the Wenty A team the other night and did well, I think Sammy is still injured.

Neither promotion or demotion its a salary cap issue I'm afraid.

So they now count as second tier NRL players rather than NYC players?

The question still needs to be aksed - why those four? Sure they all turn 20 this year but there are other 20 year olds still in the NYC squad, and they were brought to the club more recently; guys like Goodall and Newbigging.

It looks to me more like a demotion than a promotion, especially as those guys will most likely be playing in Wenty's RM Cup team. The same grade as the NYC players that miss out on the NYC top 17 each week.

Pou, I think the answer is that the coaching staff believe they can learn and move more quickly playing up and build their game playing against seasoned mature players

Now if we had a cap like Uncle Nick has at the Rorters, and the off field big names , wouldn't that be handy?

So you reckon those four will play NSW Cup rather than RM Cup? Are Grant and Latham going to push Lasalo and Alvaro to RM Cup? Is Sam Manuleleua going to get a NSW Cup spot ahead of whichever NRL squad wingers don't play first grade?

If Grant, Kamikamica, Latham and Manuleleua play for Wenty's second team they will be playing the same grade as the NYC reserve team. If it's better for their development, why don't the best NYC players get sent to play for Guildford?

Pou, their contracts have been terminated, they had to make a decision on a few players to stay under the NYC cap I believe under the instructions of the nrl.. The only players with any genuine chance to make state cup would be Tui and Sam..depending on the circumstances they may get a reprieve into the 2nd tier squad but they're not completely lost to the club, although I was told that Jordan Latham May find himself else where...and they won't stand in they of the kids if they receive offers else where.

Can you free up space just by terminating contracts? I guess it worked for Melbourne.

I like the sound of terminating contracts. That way you can just simply cut anyone who doesn't work out, no cap dramas.
