Nice tries by young French. Could be anything that kid.

Will be signed by Manly I expect.

Is this Dargan kid better at the same age than Tim Smith? He was the best junior halfback that I have ever seen.
i know what you mean. i saw smith at u17's for gold coast tear apart a brisbane division team almost all alone. outstanding.

Half time HM

Saints 10-6

We've rarely completed a set, lost our captain and lock micheal Tupou early and have been dominated at the ruck against a bigger side but we've held on to be within striking distance..

Brilliant 2nd half by both teams

Parra won their first match of the season beating saints 26-24.

Even though we never won a comp I remember how excited I was 10 years ago when I saw Tim Smith and Mateo just tear up the opposition in the lower grades. Then along came 2005 and I was convinced that I was watching a future QLD origin halfback. To this date Tim Smith is the biggest tragedy that I have seen since I have supported the EELS from the mid 70's.

Such a wasted talent. We can buy players but there is nothing better than creating your own and seeing them become superstars just like Hindmarsh and Hayne.

The heady days of 2004/2005 , watching Smith and Mateo was golden. At the tome Smith looked every bite the answer. Still in disbelief that he fell when there was the chance with a small improvement he could have been challenging for the Qld 7 , I am not sure how the was handled by the mentors at the time, but it such a waste

Heard something about Feleti the other night, the club challenged him to lose weight and play more minutes to fully realise his potential, apparently this was ignored and didn't help when othe cLubs came in and offered decent coin.

Losing Mateo pissed me off like you would not believe. To think some rated Joseph Paulo in the same category is laughable. Without doubt one of Anderson's biggest f**k ups.

Maybe not the forum to ask this, would things have been different if BS had handled the out of town/country boys in Lyon and Smith differently, or better?

Don't like to say this, but Joseph Paulo seems to have people mesmerised, sure he can ball play - but poor defence and a good game of 1 in 10 seems to be ignored

I think he is a bit of a liability in the team, great person but should not be a regular NRL pick
