Lavaka calmly defuses the fifth tackle bomb from the Roosters but is rounded up quickly by the chase.

There is yet another error a play or two later which gives the Roosters a prime chance to close the game out.

Roosters scrum 20m out from our line.

74min gone.

The Roosters come close several times but can not put Parra away.

After killing the ball on the last tackle, Parra get a scrum 10m out from their line.

Good metres from Matterson there as he shaped to his outside but tucked it under his arm to run.

Parra get to close to the left sideline on the next play though and Davis gets pushed into touch.

There is a great hit by Auckafolau (I think) which jolt the ball loose. Nice read to go with that tackle as well.

Parra scrum 20m out from our line.

2min to go.

Lussick runs from dummy half, looking to draw the defenders in but he is taken in contact and loses the ball.

The Roosters #4 shrugs off some defenders and storms through the line. He is just brought down before scoring but a couple of plays later #9 Thomas burrows over from dummy half to put the game beyond doubt.

4 tries a piece and they crossed for their last on full time

Davis couldn't find the radar with the boot all day but there was also a penalty goal to the Roosters as well.

Agree with your assessment that we threw that game away. The Roosters had the early running but we muscled our way back in only to give them too much possession and more importantly, cheap territory. They also made plenty of mistakes but so many of ours were in our red zone.

Forty what was your assessment on Jackson Hastings? If I had to choose between him and Ryan matterson I'll go matterson any day

Matterson is a 6 or 7 Guys????

The roosters have a pretty good side sounds like a tough game.

There is a bit of John Sutton about him. A fair portion of it has to do with the fact that he is massive for a half but he runs strongly and has a nice offload. Over the last two weeks he has also shown a deft passing game and a surprisingly good short kicking game.

He has nailed a few attackers in defence as well.

I was impressed with the 6,7 and 9 last week. Plenty of potential there.
