Parra power their way over halfway yet again from the kickoff and go all the way to the Roosters' goal line.

Clay has an age to kick on the last and opts for the grubber. It pierces the hands of a defender and pulls up quickly in goals. Clay is lightning in chasing his own kick and slams his hand down on the loose pill to claim his own meat pie.

Davis hits the conversion from the friendly position.

Parra lead 30-4

Since dropping the ball early in the game Clay can do now wrong as not only does his fifth tackle kick find the carpet nicely before drawing a knock on from the Sydney fullback.

Parra get the scrum and yet another chance to score but feel a bit too adventurous on this attempt.

They spread the ball to their left-edge where Davis tries to slip an offload to Goodall 10m out. The play is well read by the Roosters #5 who slides in between the two Parramatta outside backs for the intercept.

He flies downfield and Goodall, Matterson and Aloiai all give chase but none has the speed to mow his down. Goodall did go close though.

Conversion is hit from in front.

Such is the NYC.

The Roosters cash in immediately on the back-to-back sets as they trouble Parra with another sweeping backline move, albeit down our right this time.

The conversion is missed from the sideline.

Moeroa completes a brutal tackle as Parra lift in this defensive set. The Roosters are forced to put through an ordinary kick 10m short of halfway on the last, which is fielded by Davis (Who looks to drifting between wing and centre with Goodall.)

Folau makes good metres down the right in an early carry but fires off a risky offload that is scooped up by a Rooster. Fortunately there is a knock on in the attempt and Parra pick up a scrum.

Good set from Parra after the bit of fortune which ends in a great grubber into the ingoals. Parra looked to have tackled the Rooster but the ref allows him to offload which sees the Roosters escape a drop out.

The Roosters then pick up a penalty for infringing on the 10m.

They drive Parra down the middle of the field and put in a super kick the forces Davis (who is at fullback now) to retrieve the ball from the ingoals. He has plenty of defenders in front of him and looked to have just got back into the field of play but the ref believes he was tackled ingoals and a line drop out it is.

Time off for an injured Rooster. Nothing serious there as he gets back up.

The Roosters come down our left and score yet again. To their credit it was through some sparkling individual effort this time as their right centre got loose a ridiculous offload to his winger who dived over.

The conversion is nailed from out wide.

How can 2 teams be so good then so bad in the 1 half of footy?

We looked switched on then f**king switched straight off as soon as we threw the intercept for that try......

Classic NYC.

Davis does well the rush forwards to field a mistimed kick from the Roosters and beats the first man on him. However he loses the ball in the next contact and it pops out the back to a well positioned Joey Lussick.

Parra recover well and march the ball downfield to give Clay one last chance for an attacking kick. He places the bomb nicely, giving Goodall and Davis time to get under it but neither team gets a good grab at it and the ref calls a double knock on against the Eels.

The Roosters choose to keep their kick in field on what would otherwise be the final set which allows a manic run of play to unfold.

There is a break down the middle by Parra as someone got an offload to Clay who accelerated through the gap. Clay slides to the left and sends the ball sailing over to some merkin on the left. He stops, props and spins back inside and finds Matterson. Someone in the next period of play there is a grubber, deflection and regather which sees Matterson flicking the ball to Goodall who bombs the ball crossfield for Folau and Lavaka.

They could have had a crack at the flying ball but let it fall to the ground, as too does the Roosters winger. It rolls towards the tryline where it is cleaned up by the Roosters which sees an end to a crazy passage of play.

Half Time

Parra lead the Roosters

30-20

Crazy half of football.

So I might be wrong but I think that Davis has moved back to fullback, Goodall is in at left centre and Leva Li is on the left wing.

Happy to be proven wrong though (or something sort of like that).

Second half is underway with Parra receicing the ball.

Comical stuff. I don't think I can do this justice.

The ball was let to bounce and has gone over the head of Lussick.

Junior Mauala tried to recover it before it rolled dead but has tripped over and stepped over the dead ball line before fielding the ball.

Again, you couldn't make this stuff up.

First points for the Roosters in the second half.

Parra defend well on their right-edge but a simple hands and some poor tackling have allowed the Chooks to muscle their way over out wide on our left.

Soft stuff.

The conversion is waved away.

Classic Parra. Kickoff sails over the deadball line by some margin.

Penalty to the Roosters on halfway and they find touch 10m into our half.

And the Roosters stroll over under the posts. The ball runner drifted in field and the defence got lazy in tracking. He picked up a straight runner who goes over under the posts without any trouble.

Pathetic is probably the word I'm looking for.

The conversion is added.

The Roosters have locked the game up for the second time today.

30-all.

Massive break from the Roosters as they find numbers attacking our right-edge. Their #3 is streaking downfield (with his clothes on) and is met by Davis who tries to drive him into touch.

Davis fails to do so and worse, falls off the tackle.

Clay did well to give chase and by both luck and effort has forced the ball out with the try all but scored.

Parra fail to complete their return set with an error deep in the tackle count. They compound the matter by giving away a penalty.

All the running for the Roosters at the moment.

Huge call for Parra. The ref has ruled a shepherd in the play that looked to have resulted in yet another try to the Tri-colours.

Lavaka fields a spiral bomb with poise before taking the tackle.

Junior Mauala finally puts some impetus in our attack with a great run and speculative offload that finds support for more metres.

Parra fight their way into the Roosters' redzone but things come unstuck when an offload doesn't find its mark.

The Roosters complete a strong reply set. They threaten our fragile right-edge again but we cover well enough before Leva Li spills a bomb on the last to compile more self built pressure on the Blue and Gold.

From the scrum Lavaka does well to swat a pass down and prevent a try scoring opportunity.

Another scrum for the Roosters.

I have no idea how he managed to do it but #4 the Roosters has deadset carried half the team over the try line after making contact 10m out from the try line.

He looked held for all money roughly 6m out but the defensive effort was piss poor.

Very, very ordinary half from Parra thus far.

The conversion is good.

The Roosters hit the lead for the first time at 36-30

58min gone.
