big money - Michael Gordon and Frank Pritchard?
And look at the team they are comparing us to - Maloney, Easter island head, Merrin, Whare, Peachey, Mansour, just in this years team. Maybe Peachey and Mansour came for the opportunity rather than dollars, but the others didn't.
They also got congratulated for clearing out locals - Lewis, Graham, Jennings, Moylan, Cartwright.

Every team buy players and every team(bar the roosters who don't have any) lose local juniors. We are the only team that gets hammered for it because we sell papers and get clicks

Or because we are just big fat losers when we should be winners.

That's because we haven't won dick in 30 + years and a number of our juniors who we have lost have won gone onto win premierships. If we win one the hammering will reduce.

Merkin from the Telecrap said:
Over the years they have allowed James Maloney (Wentworthville), Luke Keary (Hills Bulls), Dave Klemmer (All Saints Toongabbie), Paul Gallen (Wentworthville) and Blake Green (Hills Bulls) to drift away to rival clubs among other stars.

Maloney was passed by Souths Storm as well.

Luke Keary. Did not make HM with us. Was cut from Manly's S G Ball. Went to QLD to play park footy.

David Klemmer played HM with Canterbury.

Paul Gallen - yes was cut from S G Ball

"I played SG Ball for them, that's it. I'm from the district but I wouldn't call myself an ex-Parramatta player, that's for sure," Gallen told The Sun-Herald. "I wasn't really getting a look-in there and decided to go elsewhere. I wanted to move away from the area and I knew one of the Cronulla trainers at the time.

"That's how it all happened. It wasn't a planned thing. I wanted to move away from the area anyway and I've been here [Cronulla] ever since … and I couldn't be happier."

Blake Green was a journey man until he found his feet playing ESL. He played few games for us. Few games for Cronulla. Few games for Dogs before he went to UK.

Because if we were 3-2 instead of 0-5 the article would not have been reprinted. All they did was rehash the same Gallen not wanted story. Click bait.

At least two of those players never even pulled on blue and gold as juniors. ..lol

Maloney is a f**king Terrigal junior

So are they suggesting:
Maloney - Norman
Gallen - Scott
Klemmer - Evans
Green - Fresh Prince
Keary - Wenty?

I'd take them all back (except Gallen) but the only one who'd be a clear upgrade (over the period of being at club, not past 5 games FFS) is Klemmer. Maloney would be too but not by a heap.

Plus gallen had to take performance enhancing drugs to get where he is today. Without them he'd probably weigh 80kgs and wouldn't've ever been playing first grade.

Mate sent me this.
Hope we turn it around this weekend.
It’s tough being an Eels supporter.
Should be 0-5.

So reporters are actually asking Norman about a move to Canberra. More meat on the bone to this than I thought.

The Lurker has a thing on the Jnr Norman swap too. Either they are reading each others gossip or there is something to it. Dunno.
