Thinking how good it could turn out to be having him assuming he beats charges & Makasini as our centres.Another of my bugbears with this disappointing club is from its inception the dearth of speedy outside backs who can outrun the opposition forwards let alone the backs

From the above we can determine he is facing 4 counts (criminal charges), which he is contesting at hearing.

Typically success rates at hearings etc are low, an overall stat rate of 11% . Which is probably too high when you think about it as it means 11% shouldn’t even have been charged.

The AVO will follow the findings on those counts.

Then the cops have a mention, so it’s likely another charge/s are floating around somewhere and we don’t know when they could be heard.

It’s a local court hearing, it may not be reached and let’s say it’s best case scenario and it’s actually heard, the magistrate can reserve his or her decision to another date, weeks away.

Thence of course, prospect of an appeals process for the losing party.

So he’s got a bit on.

I’ve read about the nature of the charges, they are indeed quite serious.

Entitled to his presumption of innocence of course.

You are being naughty and clearly want to pick a fight for some reason.

Tyrone May pleaded guilty to sex offences, he is a convicted sex pervert and then he boldly slagged off his critics. It might be timely to note that both Ivan and Nate were in his corner.

He was eventually punted from the panthers after public outcry, sponsor threats and people such as board member Brandy Alexander who bravely spoke up against the madness around him at very high levels.

The bone headed idiots who followed Tyrone should hang their heads in shame.

If you read my posts carefully about Taylan, you would be in absolutely no doubt where I stand on his signing and he has his full precious rights as to assumptions of innocence.

The alleged breaches of the Panthers’ code of conduct are not related to allegations made by his partner that resulted in May being charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of stalking or intimidating another person with the intention of causing them to fear physical or mental harm.

I agree with you. Taylan May sadly has a history of being a shit bloke.....and this is not counting the dv charges against him. He would need to show a big turnaround in character for us to take a punt on him. The ideal clubs for these sorts of guys to rebuild their careers are ones with a strong and established culture. We are not that sort of club yet.

I don't rule out signing him if he genuinely changes in a positive way......but as you alluded to, that seems a bit of a distance away. If he comes back, I would highly recommend him giving social media a break....lol.

It's a good point you make, not just in this case but for all young men and women, children even, that social media has become such a powerful way of life entering into family's homes, schools, workplaces etc.
It's unavoidable for some to put the bloody phone down.
The written word can often be misconstrued and people can get into trouble by what they say. Gangland warfare, politics, workplace pressure and on it goes.
For someone who has stuffed up using social media it maybe a time to go for a walk and smell the roses.
Talk face to face and sort out things like gentlemen.
