I just watched the 2009 GF replay on Fox. First time I've seen it for a long, long time. Geez we played some good footy then. The players wore their hearts on their sleeves, unlike our current mob.
It still makes me sad that we were ripped by a bunch of cheaters.
To see the joy in their faces, knowing what some of them knew, still burns me big time.
Inglis kicks the ultimately winning field goal, knowing there's a speed boat in his f**king garage. Cameron Smith knowing he signed multiple contracts. Slater no doubt was on the take as well.

I watched that game feeling proud of our lot knowing what they were up against. We were seriously ripped, and the NRL, well, they can just go and get f**ked.

Finally, watching and listening to that game, when we finally win a GF, Parra is going to go ape shit.

Totally agree. We had a real crack in that game. Moi Moi's try was unbelievable.

But, what shits me as much as the fact they were an illegally assembled team, is that when we starting to get on top, we got penalised for a strip on Slater where he deadset lost the ball. It was a shit decision and that was the game right there. Absolutely ripped off!

I will never get over that loss, EVER!!

As a 40 year old i still harbour the deepest distain for those cheats. No amount of time that has passed has subdued the fire of hatred i have towards them.

They took away one of the only things i want in life and have waited so long for. It may be "just a game" but to me it isn't and i am not really fussed whether people think that is normal or not......

I never thought we had a chance either, not because i didn't think we were good enough but simply that the NRL/referees would not allow it. Call it a conspiracy, call it whatever you want but after the debacle that was the wrestle fest the NRL had turned into in 2008 and the absolute shit GF of 2008 the NRL changed the way they interpreted the wrestle and it worked and led to a much more watchable game in 2009 until.............the GF, they let those f**king animals do as they pleased and in no time it was 10-0.

There was no better team than us going into the GF, the team was united like i've never seen and playing such wonderful football and those stupid merkins let those wrestling pricks to do as they pleased to ensure we were out of it as early as possible.

That final play forward pass refers to was the highlight of just how pathetic and weak those referees were.........

When we finally win a GF it will be something like we've never seen before.......you only have to look at how the fans responded during that golden run we had at the end of 2009, they were f**king rockstars, they were the kings of the town, it was our time and we were all ready for it.......and it was stolen from us.........

He is listed at lock - number 13. The code next to it is a supercoach thing where they are all interchangable.

I'm referring to the 2rf next to him. When has he ever played second-row for Parra? Wouldn't he be with the locks/props? Or is supercoach not up with the times?

Merkins, does anyone remember a player from the late 80’s Scott Wisemantel ?

It seems that he played reggies for us, then switched to Eastwood Rugby ss a 5/8.

Anywho, he is currently Eddie Jones’s attack coach for England and is in the news this AM to replace Stephen Larkam as Assistant Coach for the Wallabies.

So he is the second Eel (Muggo) to be successful in Rugby coaching.

Who gives a f**k if he's going to coach the Wallabies.... They're almost as bad a footy side as the Eels are....

The AFL Channel 7 led the news saying a new disturbing NRL video has surfaced, yet another damaging scandal. They then go on later to interview Moses, who said it's definitely not me, then they reported that the Integrity Unit confirmed it was not an NRL player.

No apology, FMD, they deliberately do little re the AFL player doing some recreational drug in Germany, with that moron Kochie on 7 saying it was harmless fun and just a harmless quasi drug. The media are so frustrating and biased.
