Not sure. Possibly the National Folk Festival. Actually, half the staff at the pub are poms. The key to Canberra is not going any further than 5kms from the lake in any direction. Live in a smaller place close to town, and it's quite pleasant and plenty to do...obviously not everyone with a family can afford that.

A trip to the coast (Batemans Bay, etc) through Braidwood is what I would be doing on a regular basis if I lived there. I have family in Canberra but there's no way I could settle there......heathens.

Just because he has taken a position antagonistic to the majority doesn't mean he's a troll. He's a smart guy and he believes in his stance (that the current management is harming the club) and disagreeing with people doesn't mean he's just looking for a reaction. Plus maybe he just doesn't like you? It seems mutual to me, and understandable.
