we did it last year and it worked beautifully. rheed could play middle like friend when harry exploded out of dummy half

I'm not a fan of origin and care even less so for the "passion" of it. But the biggest difference in the game was the QLD team relished in the fact they were called the worst ever origin team. Munster imposed himself on the game like you haven't seen for years, and on the other side you had nathan cleary just continue to provide nothing in the big arena.

IIRC StGeorge were ticking along nicely a few years back and then a bunch got picked for origin and they never recovered.

I feel dirty for agreeing with that balding cheating grubby POS, Rheed has been fantastic for us this year and playing origin can only help his game go to the next level. Grant is also a bit iffy in defence from what I have seen.

I'm not a snivelling banana bender but it would be good to see our lad Reed given a shot. Do a lot for his confidence and skill development. I agree with you re Grant. Reed is on another level defensively. Grant also tries to do something special on every play. Great when he pulls it off. Shitter when it doesn't. Reed is more measured and probably doesn't back himself often enough. The experience would certainly improve this. Just a shit we lose him for those games. Then there's the problem of keeping him when he's a more skilful player.
