I tend to agree except for one thing, the invaluable experience that it will give him to play in such a death match pressure cooker arena.

If he could be part of it here and there I think it will bring him back to us an even better player long term.

They ran Friend at 9 with Harry off the bench last year and it worked well for them. I'd rate Reed more highly than Friend skill wise (not leadership wise as yet). TBH if Cam Smith thinks its the best option, i'd take his word for it.

I'm not a fan of origin and care even less so for the "passion" of it. But the biggest difference in the game was the QLD team relished in the fact they were called the worst ever origin team. Munster imposed himself on the game like you haven't seen for years, and on the other side you had nathan cleary just continue to provide nothing in the big arena.

And Freddy had Nathan "All passion" Brown and played him for 2 minutes in the 3rd game, whilst he had the game's plodder Jake Trbojevic playing 80. NSW love to pick a big ol loser in that #13 jersey.
