I've been here longer than you. If anything the "smart arse" comments are fewer now than they were when I joined. But you keep telling yourself whatever you like. I'm actually friends with quite a few of the posters who have left, and for those who didn't just drop off naturally I can tell you all about what made them leave if you'd care to listen....

Fittingly, given the important occasion on the weekend we had the pleasure of interviewing Anthony Field on Thursday. Anthony is the Recruitment and Retention Manager at the Eels and is one of the individuals that has been at the heart of Parramatta's resurgent junior programs and elite development pathways.

You can catch the on-field results of Field's handiwork across both Saturday and Sunday. For those with Fox Sports you can watch the Australian Schoolboys take on their New Zealand counterparts at 7:30AM on Saturday. There will be five Eels representing both Australia and New Zealand. Kyle Schneider, Jesse Cronin and Ethan Parry will don the green and gold while Valance Harris and Joe Taipari will pull on the black and white.

Furthermore, Dylan Brown and Oregon Kaufusi would otherwise also be playing for Australia if they didn't have a little matter on Sunday called the Holden Cup Grand Final!

1. There being more shit talk on here - I've been reading the forum since the start and that is rubbish.

2. There being less posters on here - Twiz has confirmed this as rubbish as well.

I love the whole "oh well you'll miss out on juicy rumours" angle as well. It assumes:

1. Delboy and whoever he is referring to as having left actually have some important 'inside information' to share (past history would suggest otherwise).

2. That everyone actually gives a shit.

People who say they are in the know at the club and flaunt it like some badge of honour are dickheads and I won't miss them if they leave. It is not impressive that you know some f**kwit loser at our club. I get the sense that some people on here hang out with far more important people doing much more important things with their lives.

Conversely, people who quietly share good information with a sense of humility (and humour) such as @Forty20 are always welcomed with open arms.
