Govt isn’t going to significantly fund a sport that has shown no interest in being involved in WA. Jnr sport is a competitive funding area, quite rightly they are going to fund sport that is committed to the state.
You are such a hypocrite

When discussing png you said they should invest in juniors before getting an nrl team

For Perth you are arguing the opposite

lol

What kind of politician is Cook ?, they all lie ffs, I bet if it was anything regarding AFL those purse strings would’ve opened up without a problem.
It’s more that he said pre election no money would go to nrl team and now he realises the political impact won’t be good for him

Still think as the dust settles a deal gets done

Improving the stadium is a no brainer to sell it’s not just for rugby league

You’ve got 3 tenants in a half done stadium

The main stand is embarrassing

There’s four different stands along that side and behind one end is a grass hill with a standing terrace

Lmao

Hmmmm.

The NRL saw WA as a bit of a cash cow and made some extraordinary demands, which we don’t believe were ever put to other similar teams,”

“There was a private sector bid that was put forward, and we’re very disappointed that it was rejected.

“So it appears it’s fallen through, but as I said, I’ve seen no formal communication back from the NRL.”

It’s disappointing that the NRL has, I think, conducted these negotiations and discussions through the media,
and also made other claims about things that have been happening.”

You realise each paragraph contradicts the next, right?

It’s rejected yet she hasn’t heard back from the NRL.

Claims NRL are playing things out in the media yet for the last couple of months all the quotes have been coming from WA with vast majority out of The West. This past weekend only WA Gov have been quoted and have been trying to control the narrative.

So what is it?

I think it's worse than working with the Cashies bloke lol.
The WA government already agreed to a stadium upgrade, then they backflip.
A government upgrading their run down stadium after reporting a 4 billion dollar surplus.. is treating them like a " cash cow" lol
Unsurprising still has Perth Reds vote 🤣🤣🤣🤣
What a f**king peanut.

Well, as much as I would love to see a Perth team, it doesn't look like happening.

It's been well documented that the NRL are working hard with governments to get all our stadiums up to modern standards.
There's been promises made and promises broken! Sadly for many fans, we're used to it but there's progress.
For WA fans that have waited so long for a team, it's simple: build it and they will come.

That's the line in the sand- adequate facilities! We're not admitting new teams with old problems!

Aw … they are disappointed….

I’m sure these politicians have never leaked anything to the media…they just don’t do it things like that in Australian politics…

The private sector bid was rejected six months ago…and they have made no comment about that until now..

That's laughable when games are happening at Brookie, Leichhardt, Wollongong, Kogarah, Belmore and Campbelltown.
