Just win us a comp please RCG put us out of our misery.

Btw on that article non parra related how the hell do some people inside the broncos supposedly rate Fledger better then payne haas.

No wonder the broncs have gone down to the cellar if thats true.

Fledger isnt even in the same postcode as Payne Haas.

Arthur said that the Eels have faith in the fitness of his players over opposition teams and that not using all four bench players is a weekly decision.

The rotations are pre determined?

So the cats out of the bag. BAs happy to flog his "best" 13. Fu*k this playing with 17 like everyone else, "I can do it with 13". Oh dear.

Thats because Arthur knows that a good position on the ladder looks good on his resume despite his finals failures. He doesn't mind flogging them because 4th still looks acceptable, but in reality the team is fatigued come the finals.
Arthur needs to think twice about this

Just remember he has only ever beaten two lower teams in Newcastle and the Broncos in the finals, and failed against all teams who finished above him on the table, meaning fatigue could be a factor

I'm not a big fan of Arthur as coach, but I do think there is merit to training and/or pushing our top 13 to fatigue - come Finals time, when the pressure is really on, fatigue becomes less of an issue, as we have become accustomed to it.

Whether we can push past that, is another issue altogether...

And the fact that the teams that finished above us on the ladder might actually be better than us is probably also a factor.
Period.
Not all the teams that finished above us were better than us. Case in point Manly and Roosters last season. The 2017 Cowboys weren’t better than us either and they made it to the grand final.

Is anyone really arguing Robinson and Hasler are better coaches than BA?
2017 Cows, in particular Morgan, were 09 Hayne Lite

It just really irks me when people say we couldn’t have done better than we have in the past because there were better teams than us. We’ve had our opportunities but didn’t take them. Here’s hoping this season is different.

Do we need to talk about how Craig FitzGibbon had a halfback on the bench last night, who managed to get on with about 1 min to go ?

He's a rookie coach, he'll learn from that oversight. Not to mention Trindall can also cover hooker....

He uses his bench when he needs to. Here's the minutes for our bench in the Panthers final:

PlayerMinutes
14. Smith37
15. Papali'i35
16. Cartwright29
17. Matterson42

Meanwhile three of the Penrith benchies played less than 30 minutes. TPJ played the most with 32.

I think you're just trying to invent a story so you can apportion blame when none is required. Does more footy make them more fatigued or more match fit? We looked very fit come finals time. Fatigue has nothing to do with it. They have a whole week to recover between games. That's 10000 minutes to recover from 80 minutes of activity. So at kickoff they are fresh. The only liabilities they might carry from previous games are injuries and form.

If it's OK for you, it's OK for the rest of us...
I never said any coach knows less about footy than I do. Everything I know I learn from watching their decisions and listening to them speak. And I say this as someone who reckons he's probably smarter than all of them. I'm smart enough to know they're the experts, not me.
