Melbourne haven't lost a round 1 game in 20 years. Have they had weak opposition for 20 years.

I would say our last three round 1 performances have been ok without being great.

This year against the titans we almost got rolled.

2020 - 8-2 slog against the Dogs was a rusty performance got a lucky try off a kick from memory.
2021 - Down 16-0 at halftime and ran over the Broncos in 2nd half.

I'd say he is already a solid first grader, which is pretty phenomenal for an 18 year old.
