I find it unusual to come out after such a big win.

Well I reckon it's one of two things.

We all know Chammas is a Penrith insider so was it Penrith with the shits after the game pointing out to there main journo man that Brian to'o was still on the field and parra have gone the sheds.

Chammas has then put some disconnect issue that has been brought up in the past by his sources in Parramatta and decided to run it the Monday after we bashed Penrith.

Or someone at the club has leaked it. Have parra fans brought this up in the past. I don't get near the fence after the game so haven't really noticed it tbh and if its that big a issue because it has never been brought up.
Im too busy racing to my car to try get out of the carpark b4 midnight.

The same can’t be said for the winning team. It’s not the first time, either. Most of the players, barring Paulo, Ryan Matterson, Reed Mahoney and Dylan Brown, usually can’t get to the sheds any quicker.

I remember going to a game with my nephew who was desperate to get some of the players autographs. After the game the team didn't interact with the fans all.

in there defense, is it a covid thing? In recent years gone by, players have hung around after full time. Not a season ticket holder this year to comment.

What I noticed on Friday night was a club official or member of the coaching staff, ushering the players in. Matto came over to our area and got photos taken and signed some stuff and worked his way around. Dyl after doing 4 interviews was about to go over to the crowd. Both of them got told to go into the sheds by the looks of it

We can ill afford to lose players to Covid so maybe they don't want them mixing with randoms in the crowd. Though the article was asserting this has been an ongoing behaviour/practice...

Yeah I don't see the players not giving their time for the kids. Plenty also give their time to charity during the week too. They can't stay out there forever especially if the coach wants to address the group. Maybe the media will love them more if they give away smelly jerseys and headgear or change a lady's tyre*.

Blake Green, Andrew Ryan, Jason Cayless

We struggled for nearly a decade after T.Smith for a halfback until Moses came here. A good halfback may have improved our position.
James Maloney was literally under our noses in Wenty reggies and turned out to be the guy who steered numerous clubs to premierships.

Somehow (whoever the NRL club was aligned to Norths at the time), Eels and Storm all overlooked him.

Somehow while having average Mortimer and Finch, we missed Maloney and Green.

One of the things that BA changed was to reduce the pressure on Moses. We expected the world from our halves without the Go Forward.

Blake Green was a late bloomer. It wasn't until he came back from England that he became an asset to Storm etc.

I guess we let him go, because he was behind Tim Smith in 05 06 + 07.

Blake Green was a solid player but its not like he won premierships and played for NSW & Australia.

Dogs & Sharks also let him go before going to England.

He probably played his best football in the NRL at Melbourne & Manly between 2015-2017.

He wouldn't have been worse than Jeff Robson or Mortimer.

Mortimer's biggest achievement was getting signed by the Roosters.

Yeah fair call but by 2010 that ship had already sailed i think.

Green was already at his 3rd club. And not long after headed to the Super League for 4-5 years.

We should be grateful we got the best footy out of Mortimer. Everyone mentions what a failure he was.

He didn't play the footy he played anywhere else that he did in 2009. We at least got 3 months of quality football out of him more then anyone else got i suppose.

Storm probably had some excuses for not re-signing him. He was a bit of a late bloomer. Would Maloney have been a better player than Brett Finch at the time? Probably not.

Are we missing the pattern there? Maloney and Green werent anything special until they went to the Storm. They then went elsewhere cos the storm couldnt keep them as their number 1 option in the halves.

I hate the pricks but there is no denying they manage to get the best out of players. Had they stayed at Parra, fair chance they never reach the same level

Or their recruitment and pathways team have a knack for picking talented hard working individuals. More so then turning lazy pricks into hard workers...

I don't think storm are creating players to be something they aren't. I think it is more so they are better at identifying hardworking talent than everybody else.

The do have GOATS that surround those average players but. They just bought the next Inglis (Coats) etc. No denying they are good at what they do.

Have to agree here.

Our junior club has had ample player engagement and my own kids never feel snubbed or brushed if a player cant come over.

The reality is that players have similar time pressures to the rest of us and are still pretty generous with their time.
