I think he starts the year in Cup? We get a couple injuries in the backline and I honestly don’t think he will be that far down the pecking order to get a run. Our outside back depth is ordinary, I personally would much rather run Martin on the wing then AMS.

I like Talagi as well but in what position does he make it in long term Stagger? I hope to be wrong but he doesn’t look like a natural centre to me. He can get away with it in the age groups due to his class but I think he was even struggling defensively in those grades.

I think he'd be an excellent 6.

Russell is quite tall. When he fills out he’ll probably play at close to 100kg. Martin looks like he is more agile than Russell, but he looks much smaller. Remember Russell could’ve played Flegg this year, as could Will Penisini. They would’ve dominated under-21 opponents, but then so would grand final outside backs Turuva, Tago and Cobbo.
How big is Turuva? He is not tall for a modern winger, though he is strong ( but not To'o strong)

I agree with you, I think that is the position that most suits his game and its the position he has mostly played growing up.

However with the club prioritising Lynn and Sanders in the halves this year they obviously don't feel the same way. Or is it the fact we have committed to Dylbags as our Long term 6 and they know Blaize's talents and are just trying to manufacture him into a centre?

I actually think it might be worth trialling him as a 1, at least see how he goes. If he could become a success at it then he is at the perfect age to take over from Gutho long term. In saying that they seem to rate Twidle so who knows.

Its just good to know we have a crop of kids coming through where I'd be surprised if at least half a dozen of them don't make it as first graders. We just need to be strategic in the ones we keep and make sure we are helping their development not stunting it.

Of course I can you f**kwit. I didn’t say he couldn’t play. I’m just saying it’s been advantageous being an Arthur.

How old is he?anyone know his DOB? If recently turned 18 he still may grow.
If not then no matter how skill full he is the issue will always be size. They will run over him. Short and small shoulders/frame. Looks like a little boy right now. Not to say he won't expand.

My bad. I thought you were constantly pointing out his faults.

How advantageous has it been ? Are you saying that he didn't earn his place in Ball or Flegg ? Rails run ?

It's advantageous because he's had insight from a very young age on what it takes to be a first grade player. He's been lucky that in school holidays that he's done fitness runs with the first squad. That's not to say he hasn't worked incredibly hard, I've seen him play he's a very hard worker. But to say he's had no advantages or blindly dismiss them is disingenuous.

Agree with you. In fact I posted when I saw him play reggies that I hadn't seen a player that small since Jeff Fenech.

Anyway Slater, Cronk, Thurston, Ben Hunt are all 5'8'. He's at least that.

If BA isn’t his dad there is no way he is graded. Not a chance. He is way too small. It’s almost comical.
