Could it be that rival clubs are planting stories against us?
Who is it?
Defending him doesn't mean I rated him highly, just that he deserved the benefit of the doubt. It was hard to win at our club back then. Ricky Stuart proved it when he was here then left and took Canberra to a grand final.I’m not. You used to defend him religiously similar to a lot of mediocre players that I immediately placed on the shit list. It’s honourable but frustrating when you have to read it and I’m not lame enough to put you on ignore because sometimes you come up with some good stuff, you maniac.
I don't think rival clubs would bother. It doesn't affect the club, only the idiot fans. It's the media fabricating stories because they have the most to gain from angry dopes frothing at the mouth.Could it be that rival clubs are planting stories against us?
I'm starting to see random stories and tidbits in the RL talk shows coming up about us. No one had these stories last year when no one tipped us to be in the last 4.
And again, it depends on the club, not the coach. The best coaches just happen to only want to be at clubs that can win. Cleary and Maguire are premiership winners. How good were they at Wests?Cleary took an unfancied Warriors side to a grand final so it’s not like he’s only done it with strong sides. All of those coaches you mentioned have made and won grand finals. When they failed to do so most of them were moved on. Brad Arthur has been given a very long time to build a team and to get to a grand final and has yet to make it past week 2. He does have a wooden spoon though. Can you name another coach that has been afforded so much leeway? I struggle to think of a single coach who has had 7 years at a single club (I won’t include 2016) and didn’t at least make a grand final.
We had a talent like him at our club and he was pushed out the sport ASAP.

So those merkins are trying to punch on while working? ... their employer should have some concernsIt appears not wearing a shirt is a problem for the Telecrap
lol do you reckon they just need to find the right coach? How long were they at Wests?
If coaches are a non factor then why did strong club Souths get rid of McGuire 3 seasons after he won them a title? He missed the finals 2/3 times following their premiership season and they became perennial finalists again after he was removed.lol do you reckon they just need to find the right coach?
Well he wasn't even offered an assistant's position, the Roosters snapped him up quick smart. Bea has a great eye for coaching talent.how was he pushed ?
Have they won a comp since he left? Everyone likes a scapegoat, and sacking coaches is easier than sacking players or executives sacking themselves. If coaches are a non factor then why did strong club Souths get rid of McGuire 3 seasons after he won them a title? The Roosters are one of the few clubs who can afford to pay big salaries to assistants.Well he wasn't even offered an assistant's position, the Roosters snapped him up quick smart. Bea has a great eye for coaching talent.
So you think Michael McGuire was harshly treated by Souths and should have been kept on? Or maybe they made the right decision as evidenced by them making the finals and the grand final again after he left. A lot of pundits believe they would have won the grand final if Latrell was there so to say they haven’t had any improvement/success after McGuire left is demonstrably wrong. Strong clubs like Souths and the Roosters don’t tolerate just being “ok”. I guarantee they would not accept 2 finals victories in 7 seasons from their first grade coaches.Have they won a comp since he left? The point is that even Michael Maguire can win premierships at clubs like that so they can afford to sack whomever they want. Is Maguire a better coach than Bennett because he won a premiership at Souths? Premierships are a useless metric, just like finals wins, because there's a lot of luck involved. So you think Michael McGuire was harshly treated by Souths and should have been kept on? It's all about sample sizes. Any given handful of games means nothing. That's why I'm tracking Arthur's career win rate. It's a much more reliable sample, and becoming more meaningful every game. Do you think he will reach 55%lol Premierships and finals wins don't suit your argument so they are useless metric. Round 2 is where it's at, unless you looooose then it's no big deal lol. Pounomics.
