I don't get how Fui was treated badly, yet it's fine to chase other club legends around with a chainsaw when their game starts to regress. Seems a tad inconsistent.

BA dropping a way past it Fui is bad because he was a club legend....but Ryles pushing Gutho out, is great........

#madness....

BTW - I think both decisions were great...good on both coaches making the big calls...

I'm glad to see him back at the club.
Can't agree on your second point though, sorry. If anything we should have cut him loose sooner.
There is respectful way to do it. Like ryles did with a few of our legends last year.

Fui bled for the club and had as much impact as anyone he played with in that era.

That GF try is our greatest GF moment since 1986.

Then Fui was treated disgracefully out the door.

And in a way karma bit us on the backside those last 2 games in 2014 losing to bottom 4 sides when Fui was left out worked out real good for the team.

How did Ryles push Gutho out again? Ryles and the club were happy for Gutho to see out the last year of his deal and then sit down some time in 2025 to explore an extension if his form in a different role warranted it.

Gutho chose to walk out on the last year of his deal for the additional $$'s the Dragons put it n front of him for 2026 and 2027...

You've been reading too many clickbait articles....

And then what's the problem with BA dropping Fui....he was a liability, was a passenger in the ruck in 2014......so it's ok for Ryles to move a player (positions) but not BA (grade)......

Did Ryles move Gutho on ? or did Gutho move Gutho on ?
Well, he did tell our captain who had played nearby 200 games at fullback for us, he is now coming off the bench, so a rookie with 1 NRL can take his spot....after being one of our best players for the last few years....

But that's ok for Ryles to do but not for BA to drop Fui, who was a passenger and way past it in 2014.......

I agree Gutho was the one who decide to leave, and I have posted that it was pretty poor of Gutho to leave and not fight back....

But also it's pretty clear Ryles didn't see him as part of our future, and happy for him to leave.....

But both decisions were great!! But it's funny how some judge them differently...

Exactly, he promised him a place for this year and then couldn't guarantee him a roster spot after that. That wasn't good enough for Gutho which is fair enough but he bolted for the cash which is his right.

Hardly the same as dropping someone and totally ignoring them like a little bitch for the rest of the year. He did the same thing with Mannah, Brown as well. I can see a pattern here.......

It's the way they both went about it, Ryles at least treated Guth with some respect while Arthur did it like the grubby little coward he really is. You aren't even arguing apples to apples and then have the hide to call Fui a sook.

Dig up stupid.

I reckon his carer has been reading them for him, his carer is James Hooper.

lol the lengths people go to hug Bea's nutsack.
Seems you were hugging BA's nutsack pretty hard for his decision to drop Fui

And anyway his defence couldn't be any worse than Fui's this season.

Sadly the time has come for Fui, good to see Mossop playing hopefully he can get into first grade sooner rather than later.

Terepo had already had a week off , Fui has been one of my favourite ever Eels but no one should be put above the team. He was invisible on Friday night and not up to it anymore.

Agreed, making tough decision's is the coaches job and he showed he wasn't afraid to make a tough decision.

I had no problem with him making that call, i had no idea he did it in such a cowardly way and then froze a club legend out like he was trash. Was it any wonder he's only come back now after your bald hero has finally been punted???

And aren't i just a hater who hated Bea Arthur just blindly??? Those posts show thats BS.

Ill always respect Fui for what he did for this club.

So I think calling him a sook for how things ended is very harsh.

I would say he made a bigger impact on this club then his front row partner and captain Cayless.

He was as much a force in 2009 as what Hayne was.

Not many front rowers get a song named after him either.

He deserved to be treated a lot better when getting moved on.
