Actually there was a podcast where his former teammates said when they first played with ryles, Ryles would always ask and challenge the coach why are we doing this etcIrony is when he was a player he was the complete opposite.
He was the last player i would have thought from that era that would become a decent coach
Not sure if it was the same podcast, but I remember hearing Mitchell Pearce recently talk about his time playing with Ryles. He said that as time went on, Ryles became more vocal during video sessions with the coach — especially when it came to the technical side of things. Looking back, Pearce said it makes a lot of sense now, given how Ryles’ coaching career has played out.Actually there was a podcast where his former teammates said when they first played with ryles, Ryles would always ask and challenge the coach why are we doing this etc
They didn't expect that from a dumb second rower
True - the amount of penalties the guy gave away when playing seemed next level. Glad he's been able to settle the brain over the years, and put it to better use!Irony is when he was a player he was the complete opposite.

He wasn't talking about BA, he was talking about Ryles and Brown.
The ringing endorsement of BA is Moses' growth since we signed him from the Tigers. Why would Moses talk about that when he has a new coach?
I agree Talagi has more upside simply because he is two years younger than Iongi. But Iongi will be a great player, and is better than Talagi right now (which is when we need him to be better). I think if Talagi had stayed and was playing fullback this year, we would be so f**king off him.
Or at least he didn't get in the way of it. Who knows how much of player development is down to coaching and how much is just from maturity and experience.I'm not a huge BA fan, but credit where it's due - BA developed him into a Grand Final-level, and Origin-level, halfback.
At least you've stopped blaming the coach...Or at least he didn't get in the way of it. Who knows how much of player development is down to coaching and how much is just from maturity and experience.
Simplistic analysis, devoid of any actual insight...I agree Talagi has more upside simply because he is two years younger than Iongi.
I never blamed the coach. At least you've stopped blaming the coach...
I said it was simple. There isn't enough data about either of them to conduct a more detailed analysis. But it's a fact that Talagi hit his milestones earlier than Iongi.Simplistic analysis, devoid of any actual insight...

As I said, your statement was devoid of any analysis... and value.I said it was simple. There isn't enough data about either of them to conduct a more detailed analysis. But it's a fact that Talagi hit his milestones earlier than Iongi.
But I don't think anyone on here values the "relevant" fact you shared. Or many of your other pointless argumentative rebuttals of things people weren't even saying on here in the first place...I shared a relevant fact. It doesn't matter whether you value it. If it was just for you, I would've sent it in a PM.
You wouldn't know. But I don't think anyone on here values the "relevant" fact you shared.
