i heard an interesting interview today with dean halatau on the bsb.Obviously just completed a trial vs souths and it was asked of him about the 2nd ref.His opinion was the play the balls and the ruck were alot quicker due to the extra policing of it.Which in his opinion will help the teams with smaller packs, due to the speed factor.
Which is probably why DA has been at Hindy (and Mateo by the sounds) to lose some weight... maybe fringe guys guys like Lowrie, Oake, Wellar and Cordoba can realise their potential against bigger tired packs this season?

you mean to say the parramatta coach is actually looking at trends in the game AND making changes to adjust to them?

while i think jarryd is our best option at fullback i feel that he can be just as useful in the 5/8 role and full credit to DA for trying it. having said that said im not sure about finch's playmaking abilitys in the number 7....i rekon keating, mortimer and kelly will be pushing hard for first grade during in the season.

In attack he's definitely the best fullback we have.

For mine, I'm not sure if he's close to Burt in those areas you've mentioned?

Then you are a terrible judge.

Burts bomb taking and defense is the worst in the league, you name me somone worse, Hayne is an SOO rep, if Burt was thst good h ewould be too, burt simply is pathetic, your judgement is f**king shocking hahaha

i think faster men will be in fashion this season, i guess that is why Hayne is going to see the ball alot more and burt will also be intergral to the success of the team!

I don`t think our backs are all that fast. Burt`s lost a lot of speed; Hayne`s not slow but he`s not a flyer. It`s their overall flair and athleticism that`s the thing. I hope they all (our backs) improve this year and live up to their apparent potential, but as it stands at the moment, I think the lot of them (except Joel Reddy) are over-rated.
