Parra.letic you make agood point, when you sit on the bench as he did and a player makes a mistake and you get up abuse the player, throw down your program it does not look good to players waitingto go back out on the field. He lost the dressing room and a number of players and officials would have been happy if he was sacked during the season. The Panthers werent happy either when he was there as you dont sack a premiership coach for no reason.

This all looks a lottle selfish on his part, which is a shame as he was a wonderful player and thinks he is owed a career without proving himeself and I doubt he understands marketing.

Why is Bert the bad guy here? He was promised a job and didn't get it. Whether he would have been any good is irrelevant.

Think we should add that Bert was given a coaching job, and like his stint at Penrith, he wasn't very good at it. These stories are around every 6 months from Bert and are a little tiresome,.

Bert was paid more than he was really worth in his last 3/4 years, and since then he has found it difficult to hold down a career, you can't keep rewarding people for what they did 20 tears ago, we need to move on and so does Bert.

Just gives fodder to Raaaay, otherwise it would just die a slow death, I heard GB this morning and Fitzy was mentioned more than Bert, that should tell us something

So why did you vote for him? :sarcasm:;-)

So why does Brett Kenny keep getting brushed all the time?

Is it because he talks funny, looks a bit untidy?

I've met him before and he seems as down to earth as they come.

On the NRL show on One HD last night they said that there was a rumour going around that a Sydney CEO is on the nose and will not be there next year.

Wonder which one will announce that they "have elected to spend more time with their family" ?

I doubt it would be Doust, Greenberg, Noyce, Humphries or Leary (he's only just started at Penrith).

So that leaves Richardson, Osborne, Lowe or Fisk.

Went onto say he is only new in the role..well the newest of that group comes down to Lowe...so that would have Osbourne at safe :-k

What angers me most about yesterdays story, is that last night could have been the night that Burt broke his try scoring record. I know the Tele always have a hidden agenda (well its pretty blatantly obvious) with Parra, but it seems Bert went running to them deliberatly! I like to think that i usually have a pretty good bullsh*t radar when it comes to dealing with people. Whenever im around that joker it goes thru the roof!

Brett sounds drunk when he talks which probably helped end his media career with Fox Sports.

I guess they've still got Tallis there.

I wonder what other sucessful club would have such an article written about a former legend. I'm sure Bert is not the only legend o struggle with life after League. You just don't hear that crap from Saints, Easts, Souffs or either Tigers partner. Hughes at Canterbury - well that's just a spat that spilled outside the club.

2 tries, in 3 GF's, 265 games. He's our best ever local junior. He deserves more respect than the "F*ck Kenny" comments from f*ckwits who wouldn't remember who Michael Vella was and think Daniel Anderson was our best ever coach.

Brett Kenny is a good bloke...deserves better - although plenty of the female supporters would say different. I found him to be a 'blokes bloke'..
He should link up with Arthur, Tommy and go on the 'talking circuitt' around the Clubs. There is a quid to be made, but he needs to have patience. He's got some good stories to tell.
League should look after their own more....Men of League is a fantastic organisation and everyone who has ever played the game SHOULD join and become involved...

Brett Kenny is the best rugby league player I've seen.

He is the best ambassador for the club off the field.

Coaches live by their record. The rest is BS. His record speaks for itself.

I grew up in awe of Brett Kenny. I marvelled at his skills, was proud of him for sticking with the club after the glory days were well and truly over.

I have never met him, so I don't know what he is like as an individual or his personaility.

Sadly I now cringe whenever I see him in the papers or hear him interviewed on TV. He comes across as bitter, twisted and unable to let the past go. Quotes like "I played here for 13 years but I don't expect favours" as well as being the rent a quote guy when it comes to bagging anything in the club don't do him any favours at all. Bert needs to move on, realise the game has moved on and fix himself. Maybe then he will gain more respect from the game, much like he use to command.

You could remove the name Kenny and insert Price in this post and not change another word and it would still work perfectly.
