I dunno - I just have a really bad feeling about this game. I reckon Panthers are ready to explode and we are ready to implode. Could be a bad combo.

Same but I'm a pessimist when it comes to the eels so I always feel like that

it's hard to gauge how the players will react to the points being taken it's been this arbitrary thing in the background for months now you hear about it then you look at the table and parra are still sitting in 5th

now it's happened and parra are sitting in 14th will the reality of it freak them out?

Or will it give them extra motivation to get back into the 8?

Wow.. That halves combo screams creativity. We better hope we can keep the Panthers to under 10 points and French can get a few intercepts..

Panthers always lift to play us, i think without Norman we will be lucky to get 2 tries so defence has to be spot on. If we win we'll win 12-10 or 12-8, if we lose it will be like 28-10.

So at the start of the year we thought we would look like this

Gordon
Gutherson
Jennings
Taka
Radradra
Norman
Foran
Watmough
Scott
Ma'u
Mannah
Peats
Paulo

Reserves
Moeroa
Edwards
Wicks
De Gois

Now

Gordon
Burretta
Gutherson
Jennings
French
Taka
Robson
Scott
Moeroa
Mau
Wicks
De Gois
Mannah

Edwards
Peni
Gower
Alvaro

What a sad state of affairs.

That's a about stock standard for us, we've had a bad run of late being decimated by injuries.

So:
1. Gordon
2. French
3. Gutho
4. Jenko
5. Buretta
6. Taka
7. Robson

I am thinking Taka stays at centre and Gutherson to the halves.

We are probably going to struggle a bit in attack/scoring points, so reckon Taka is more of a danger out wide at centre then in the halves. He is more likely to beat his man at Centre then Gutherson will.

Plus Taka being such a big boy, Gutherson is probably more mobile which will help him defending there.

Is Gutho much of a playmaker? does he have any experience in the halves that we know of?

Not sure but may have played some 5/8 in the juniors/nsw cup. Played some time there in a trial this year.

Also as a fullback, he may have playing skills as most modern fullbacks do.

Also BA said in an interview a few weeks ago, Gutherson isn't really a finisher but more of a "creator".

But yeah it's a risk, but we are really out of options. I reckon he could handle it for a game or two.

I could see it though, he's probably better suited for it than Taka or Kenny, who are better suited where they are.

Except Brad moved Taka to the 6 when Foran got injured and made a comment when asked about Cornish that Taka trains as the backup 6, so I don't see that anything would have changed his mind.

The only option to my proposed side is leave Buretta out and move Kenny or Gower into 3 and leave Gutho on the bench but give Buretta is fit again, I can see him getting tapped from Wenty.

We need a bit of speed (especially lateral) in the centres which is why I don't think BA would put Mau or Edwards there unless there was no other option.

Ma'u was great in the centres last week, I was pleasantly surprised.
