There was no need to move Scott to right centre. Should have left Mau as right centre and Kenny Edwards as left centre. That;s what cost us the game. And then to leave him there when they scored two tries in a row and not move him till after the 3rd try was a bad decision from Arthur

Edwards was never defending at centre, because he's a worse edge defender than Scott.

We started with: Jennings(L), Ma'u(R)

Then we had: Ma'u(L), Scott(R)

Then it was: Gutherson(L), Ma'u(R)

I don't know why we didn't just go with that last configuration when Jennings went off. There must have been a reason.

Turning point was that 1st minute in that 2nd half when faraimo dived on that ball unnecessarily on the 5th tackle and gave them another set of six which they scored gave them the momentum over the next 15 mins in which they scored 3 tries and we didnt complete a set

The Chairman and French in the right, no no lets go to Scott and Buretta, a much better chance of scoring

It depends what the defence looks like when the ball is played.

Yep. And I take that into consideration.
I didn't think we were much of a chance before this match started, but we played so well in the first half.
Losing Jennings and Wicks should not have made as much difference as it did. We finished the first half really well without them.
But BA's decision to keep Scott in the centres cost us badly. Throwing stupid offloads, running towards the sidelines and getting taken out, poor kicking and decisions at the end of sets...we played poorly in that second half despite being in a great position to win. It was disgraceful.

I believe we got one - when Penrith didn't have enough players in the scrum.

After the 1st minute with that high shot on wicks we got 2 penalties in the last 79 mins and 1 was for the 5 man scrum

If that was the case the NRL could easily make that happen at the last game of the regular season. It would make far more sense for them to do that than several weeks from the finals.. That is, if you consider the game is rigged.

Yeah I agree. That was so unlucky. All we had to do was let Panthers re gather and make a tackle. How they managed to retain possession was a miracle. Unbelievable passage really.

For f**ks sake...

People will say we were brave, and to an extent we were. People will say that injuries and calls went against us, and to an extent they did. And people will say Gordon kicking poorly cost us, and it did. But once again we blew a good lead in the space of a few absolutely godawful minutes of football. It's not really relevant to our chances this year because we have none, but it's not really good enough and something we need to address.

I don't want to criticise BA after all he's got out of this side, but keeping Scott at centre was a huge tactical error. We were brave, and we were courageous and all that, but we should have been in the box seat.

Anyway, Mannah and Alvaro were absolutely unbelievable today, and Gutherson was excellent given what he was asked to do. Ma'u as well had a stormer. Maybe we're just starting to feel the fatigue of everything that's happened, because ultimately we folded over a 15 minute period after half time sadly.

We didn't fail because of two errors, we failed because we only had four backs in our defensive line for most of the match.

And didn't get a penalty when Mannah cops two high shots in the one tackle.

Well thanks a lot Gordon. Don't expect you to kick all of them but 2 would have been good 1 should have been a definite. Thanks farimio I know your'e only a back-up but that doesn't excuse your 2 efforts that led to tries. Thanks Scott I'm loathed to sink the boot in to you based on what you usually deliver and the fact you were out of position but on one of those tries you rushed up that much you ran past Moylan and you are a forward so why try to beat someone on the outside only to get pushed into touch. Thanks Robson your game wasn't to bad but when it mattered your kicking game was not up to standard. Thanks Footy Gods just what we needed having Jennings get injured especially when he seemed to be hitting his straps. Thanks Kenny since you got named at 5/8 a few weeks ago you seem to think pass first run 2nd even when you aren't playing in the halves, I seen some opportunities today where I thought you were going to run over someone into space and instead you backed into them and looked to pass. Thans peni it's not your fault we lost but in the last minute on the last tackle you had Gutherson outside you with players running into space outside him and instead of giving him quick ball you double pump it giving the defence time to shut him down before he could pass. You are not a ball player pass the f*cking thing the first time.Thanks Gutherson you made it easy to give someone three points today great game!!
