bugger :(

but we didn't play very well
- we were mostly flat footed attacking in the opposition 20
- WAY too many errors - dropped balls all over the place

saints defence was fairly good too

and the ref was utter sh*t .... 2 dodgy tries to them and one no try for us that I think were really bad calls - but i guess thats how it is without video refs

btw - i thought we had a decent opportunity for a long field goal on our 2nd last possession but went for a grubber to the corner instead :? ..... then on our last possession mortimer takes a totally f'ed field goal attempt :?

Saw our gumby first grade coach on TV, probably used some of his inspirational addresses to really fire them up.

Should have seen that as an omen, maybe he will recognise what he is worth to the club and fade into the distance, we can all dream I guess.
They looked like the first grade side tonight :( totally different to the refreshing footy they played last week. I wonder if Hagan knows that is their last game for the season???

On reflection we had every opporti=unity and showed nothing constructive, and little of the flair when needed. Hodgkinson came into the side and gave little direction, actually was one of the worst performances I have seen from hhim.

I wish the dribbling commnentators would actually watch what Tony Williams does and stop creaming themselves over his soze etc, Lasalo outplayed him from the get go.

A good season, marred by one of the worst efforts at the death

Exactly, our coach Hagan has zero presence and is as boring as watching paint dry.

There has never been a coach that pisses me off more then this hack!!

I was thinking we should chip in and buy Hagan an "emo kid" t shirt, he has one of those expressions and even talks like he is bored!!!!

The worst coach we have ever had. How this moron gets on my nerves I cannot even begin to describe. I watched St Helens play this morning on Foxtel and it was a privelege to see a Daniel Anderson coached team. He has an over 80% winning record in the Super League!!!!!!!!!!!

Come home Ando!!!!!!

As soon as i saw him being interviewed i got a bad feeling, and suree enough we play to a plan he would have been proud of.

Avengfer. totally agree, he was totally predictable at the STH meeting and I regard him as completely ineffetive, actually worse in many ways than Hilditch and Cronin. They had poor rosters and little to work with, Daniel Anderson ....please ,,please,, but then we would have to get DF to admit a mistake and find some spare cash to ditch a deadweight

He is just so inspirational. Cannot wait until his coaching career ends.

Good effort but we have struggled against the Dragons all year.

Funny how the Panthers and Eels were everybody's favourites at the start of the season and they both gone.

I thought the boys play well, some decision's went again us, like that 360 degree tackle made on one of our players in the 1st half that should of see a penalty gone to us, I still can't believe the ref and touchie's didn't see it, there were 3 players in the tackle, 2 of them had our player by the legs lifted him up and turned him over and he nearly landed on his head. IMO I thought 2 of the Dragons's tries were knocked on from the bomb's, but we can't cry over it now. (YES I CAN, it's been a shocking year for us Eels)
