well they say if you are good enough you are old enough

the most impressive thing about his for mine is his acceleration and side step, much like Bert Kenny

most halfbacks concentrate on setting the play up but this kid is a line breaker, plays more like a 5/8 than a half back

KK has ability but please don't compare him to Brett Kenny.I don't even think he would be happy with his last two performances.

How old is he?
Surely he needs a stint at Wenty before this happens??
This would be the equivalent of promoting a jersey flegg player directly into first grade... thats a massive call

I think that is the whole idea of NYC. For Parra at least anyways, Denis doesnt want NYC players playing for Wenty.

I think you'll find that just about every club is adopting the same approach...the kid from the Warriors who made his debut against us on Sunday came straight out of NYC, players like Ben Barba [dogs], Lachlan Coote [Penrith], Russel Packer [Warriors] and Masada Ioseffa [Panthers] are all kids that would stroll into reserve grade/Premier league but are playing NYC.

it's not just Parra adopting that approach.

Lucky to be 12 all at half time, we've hardly had the ball, far too many mistakes and silly penalties.

2 individual efforts to Daniel Mortimer has kept us in the game.

Our wingers are pretty crap at defence, Cox ran out of the line to leave a huge hole for the first warrior try and MClelland just cant read the play or tackle.

If we can just hang onto the ball we could walk away with this but our guys could be pretty tired will all the defence they've done in the first half.

I posted exactly the same sentiment on the NYC v Warriors score thread. I hadn't seen your post Twiz..
Cox came right in off his wing toi get a centre and the scorer had an easy run to the line. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
How hard is it to mark up 'man to man'? First thing kids are taught these days...

It will be hard for the kid to play top grade at the eels with Wonderboy and the bird in front of him... he will leave soon enough

and you'd know about players leaving clubs wouldn't you?

I'd worry about the stability of your side before start thinking too far ahead.

Its called winning a premiership, naturally an influx of players leave because they achieved the ultimate, how many Parramatta players have tasted that

Nothing wrong with my club since the big ape left (Mason), just ask Sonny.

Back on topic, there is a bit of talent in that eels team and naturally some will leave

and plenty will stay, it's a matter of choosing the right ones, besides why would you want Dan Mortimer if you have Aaron Groom and Ben Barba??

I see Groom as an outstanding utility, swapping between Hooker and a bit of halfback, superb runner of the ball.

Barba will be the 5/8th in a year or 2, special talent.

Mortimer definately has the good and would compliment Barba more.

groom hooker??

the guy has a serious deficiency in defence why put him at hooker.

besides Dan mortimer will only leave if we don't require him to stay.

Groom is not a terrible defender at all, hes adequete at the moment and will get better. Defence can be taught to a certain degree.

Lets just say Mortimer does make the cut, the eels will have a tough decision to make between him and wonderboy.

and Hodkinson and Keating and Finch and Maloney ;-)

we're definitely not short of halves..

Finch will do one of 2 things, leave or play hooker to cover for Riddell who will go to Wigan.
