Yeah that's about right.

Early on the execution was the problem - were trying to score off every play.

Very impressed by Mortimer and of course Tim Mannah led the way up front.

Even more impressive is that the Toyota Cup is televised - no more waiting around until 5.30 to watch some footy!

It was good to actually see one of these games televised for those of who live far far away.

From what I saw I felt our starting pack were very strong, and for mine the complete change of momentum came when the Mannah boys came back on.

Dave Baumann was great in the 2nd half, great running.

Thought Mortimer played well, did a lot of good little things.

I felt Keating was poor for most of the game, the likes of Williams and Rea were starved of the ball on the left as Keating continually cut back in field to go himself.

In general there were a lot of good signs, particularly as I felt the dogs rode on the luck of some very nice bounces to get away to that lead.

Williams looks capable of playing first grade at some point. John Mannah is a great runner of the footy, but is a little slow in defence, mainly getting up after making a tackle. Tim Mannah is a bit better all round.

Even though it was a slow start there was much to like in terms of development.

Fantastic to see the junior Eels and stars of th future, thankyou so much Foxsports

for mine

The Mannah Bros- Remind me of the bookends, great game and work rate for both of them, future first grade players no doubt

Bauman- Runs more like a prop than a backrower and has a motor like Hindy, just keeps running

Nasso- fantastic mistake free game, one of our best players

KK- great running 5/8 who takes on the line as often as the back rowers do, perhaps too much, but I think is some cases the receivers were out of position, good pace and good playmaker, spent more time at halfback than 5/8

Mortimer- man of the match performance, who said we'd miss Hodkinson, incredible pace for a half back, great to see these two halves take on the line and create opportunities.

it's funny how both game finished the same. The younger boys gave away so many penalties in the first half and just dropped the ball and made pathetic solutioins. Same as our first grade team. Both teams came back in the second half ... LOL

Baumann is VERY GOOD prospect. Like his involvement
Tony Williams needs to involve himself more, both the hookers were good and Danny Mortimer was outstanding.

I always wonder what makes Hindmarsh often in the right spot to save tries, and why other players aren't? I noticed watching SG ball last year Baitieri has a similar ability. I look forward to watching him once he is back from injury (if he gets selected to play Toyota Cup).

couldnt agree more he was one of the stand outs for mine...very much in the hindmarsh mold or maybe its just the hair cut but he was in everything, cleaning up the scraps. looks good!

At some point and that would be when his involvement rate probably triples. Very impressed with this kid in terms of talent but his work ethic leaves a lot to be desired. He could learn a lot from Baumann.

Daniel Mortimer and Dave Baumann were the two most impressive players from the match closely follwed by the Mannah brothers and Keating.

if Danny Motomer puts on a little bit of wieght he can stake a real claim sooner rather than later.

Training full time with the team as opposed to travelling down on Friday nights from Orange to play has really helped him. From games that I saw last year he really impressed and he has moved ahead based on last year.

Would have sucked for the Doggies fans to be beaten by a Mortimer.

it wouldn't be the first time, I'm sure Chris "louie" Mortmier would of come up with a victory or 2 against his old club when he played for Penrith.
