Eels trial.

It's quite amusing how vocal Hindy has been on the platform tonight.

Almost childlike.......

Anyone would think the result of this trial actually means something.

Come back Hindy when the Eels have won a premiership in colour, and within this century (not last)
It appears that he has the arrogance about him. I am unsure if that is intentional, or not?

Exactly.

I went back to the Eels team lists. The Eels put our their best 1-17 for the game.

As we have said already 6 Penrith players left out of the Penrith top 17.

I think though Ivan went through them like a dose of salts for their poor attitude in defence and in attack.

Some of those reads by Api and Kiks were pretty nasty. To be honest no excuse for either player. If you're just going to phone in your committment.....piss off right now.

Sivo and N.Brown did not play. But yes they are not that big an improvement imo.

Shut up Hindy. As someone else mentioned take Moses, Paulo, papali gutho and a couple of your bench forwards out of your side and put them against an almost full strength Penrith do you really think we wouldn’t towel you up?

It was disappointing from Penrith today but it doesn’t mean anything. We were understrength and a bit flat in a trial, nothing more.

I'm not reading a lot into it. But I honestly think you lack depth and if cop a few injuries will struggle.
Everyone fit come finals and are a great chance to take it out again.
Nathan's kicking game sets the tone.

Last season but Eishuth and Sorenson are back ups. Salmon isn't even close with 5 or 6 guys out. Now you have him in your best 17. So yes I think depth is average.

So Just for fun Let's take out your halfback, 3rep forwards, your fullback, 1 interchange forward.......

Similar result.

Its a trial. Penrith didn't look that interested. Bit of a training run for them. As I said its more about seeing what individuals look like body shape wise, power and speed for me.
I thought May and Tago look like they'll have big years. Plenty bagged Tago. He looks fit and strong

Nailed it...that's exactly right. He does carry on, comes on here comparing Eels and Panthers in every position and believes Parra players are superior in most positions. Dream on Hindy

Nathan won't fix his bad reads defending on the other side of the field.

That left edge, Kikau, Luai, Tago and Bizza is our starting left edge. There is no one to come in to fix it.

The optimist would hope that Dylan at the back organising them helps, but I dunno.

Smug thinks you add Cleary to that side alone we win.

He will get better. Just needs time

Fox Sports said we only had 3 tackles in the 20 in the 1st half. That shows the pressure the side was under

Benji still thinks we have a massive chance of going back to back. He says tonight's trial means nothing, once key personnel return the whole dynamic of the team will change. He feels Panthers played well last week and tonight played like a team just waiting for the season to start.

Onya Benji.

Benji also thinks Luke Brooks will win Dally M halfback of the year.

From my view of the game. Nothing was real concerning

Leota carved up
The other regulars just went through the motions and saw it as a trial
A few kids made basic errors

I have us having $3.5m of talent watching on tonight. That with alone improves the side

Must have missed something. He looked trash.
Was working during the game so I can't comment on what actually happened in it but if you have Fish, Martin and Spencer hitting a line off you and the impact of their runs is completely different to Blacker, Lindsay Smith and whoever else replaced forwards in the 17 that were out. It's the threat of that pass doing something that pauses the defence. If there's no one on the receiving end of the pass the defence respects the running game off and is a bit worried about ball playing in the middle sorta loses effectiveness to an extent.

In that game where the Tigers beat us with the Origin players out I'm telling you Eiso came on and started to do a discount Yeo role and we looked much better with the ball. I'll give people it was a low bar at the time.

With that said I didn't watch the game. I don't know if no one was willing to run him a line half the time/people over running or the timing was out or whatever. He may have been just shit for all I know. I'll watch it back later.

I wasn't even talking about the finals game. Parra won 9 out of first 10 games and everyone thought the GF was theirs to lose....they then lost several games, couldn't keep it up..they choked before they even got to that finals game, especially Moses in big games. He played really well today because the result didnt matter.
Moses played 80 minutes of Origin, finishing with a back fracture that put him out for the next three weeks, and was excellent in the finals.
