He's not terrible in defence though. He is a great low tackler, which is good for a fullback anywhere other than right on his own line. He is also awesome in the air, and a much better playmaker than Merritt.

That's a very detailed dissection of his skills. He may or may not live up to the hype, but he has scored 28 tries in 29 first grade games, and blokes like that are worth giving some time to.

I'm not convinced about him at fullback but I don't think BA is either.

I think that's overstating his defence. The stats show he is clearly the worst defender out of he, Smith, gutherson and Hayne. And is he awesome in the air?

He spent most of his games on the wing though, where first contact needs to be at the ball. It’s always easier to miss those tackles.

Yeah but he'll always be small. We always say this guy is training the house down and has bulked up blah blah blah but it almost never works out. He will always be electric in attack but a liability in defence. He has good footy nous on his side but I doubt it's enough.

If you're going to have a liability in defence, fullback is the place to hide him. Some of the smallest blokes in the game play fullback. None of them regularly play on the wing.

Sure but your attacking ability has to transfer to fullback to compensate.
