He has stated that he has laid the ground work for the future, there is zero proof of that!

I actually believe there is plenty of proof in that.
Kearney has blooded more juniors in first grade than any coach than Smith did in '98.
That is ground work.

Apparently that is Bennett's doing even tho Bennett himself and the players involved say otherwise.

Do you believe in coincidences?

Also, please explain their performances when he is not involved?

Pretty sure they also won the four nations off a blatant forward pass......they were hardly convincing that tournament!

Bennett wasn't even a part of the Four Nations win. Don't know how they can claim that one.

Kearney did some good things (recruited some talented young blokes) but also did some poor things (recruit Sandow) but I think we are probably better off without him despite not wanting him sacked originally.

We've gone through half the year without our best player. That certainly hasn't helped.

Mate how could you know that after less than two seasons? By his win-loss record? Michael Hagan, after 42 games of his career, had won 29 and drawn one. He had also won a premiership. Does that mean that after 42 games he was the best coach in history, because his win percentage was about 70%?

Or do you think it was maybe too early to tell?

For the record I think Hagan has been our worst coach since Hilditch or Cronin. He did massive damage to our club and part of the reason Anderson and Kearney struggled with shit halves and weak depth in their time here.

By that stupid logic you can't tell if Langmack was a shit coach either as he only got to coach for 35 games.

Sandow would be a great signing in the right team that can cover his defensive liabilities. He still does enough with the ball to be an asset

If Bennett and the players themselves are saying it was all Kearney than obviously thats the way it was. Forward pass or not who cares, all that matters is what the scoreboad reads

That's actually true. We only know he was a shit coach because he was never seen or heard from again.

Likewise, it would be tempting to think of Jason Taylor as a good coach because he took two different teams to the finals in his his first two years in charge. The only way we know he's not that good is because he hasn't been able to get a job since.

People on the inside of rugby league know a lot of stuff the rest of us don't. So we have to look at the indicators we have. For many, wins-and-losses is nice and simple so that's as far as they bother looking.

But things are always a lot more complicated than that.

They've improved steadily throughout the year. They could do with more positive on-field leadership, but that might be fixed next year.

Yep, and they look great.......

They do indeed.

Morgan, Sio, Ryan, Blair, Mullaney, Smith all look the goods and very well could form the basis of a great team from which Stuart could work from.
I'm a glass half full man myself.

They're improving.
What the f**k do you want from them? They're rookies for f**k sake!

Playing in a shit team as well. They've done ok considering.
Stick any of these kids in Melbourne or Brisbane and they'd be stars.
If nothing else, Kearney has layed a platform. And for that we should be grateful.
A wooden spoon? Yes he gave us that as well. For that I'm not f**king happy.

Exactly, like a player in the playing group publicly stating that the coach is f**ked. That can be a good indicator too don't you think?

Teams make as many offloads as the opposition let them, and even then they're not a reliable indicator of success.

Offloads vs Melbourne
14 Eels
13 Storm

Offloads vs Brisbane
13 Eels
8 Broncos

Offloads vs Tigers
7 Eels
5 Tigers

Offloads vs Roosters
6 Eels
13 Roosters

Offloads vs Titans
14 Eels
11 Titans

Whether offloading or passing wide before the line, you have to earn the right to use the ball. If we can't get the opposition on the back foot, our passes are only going to put us under more pressure. You would have seen that today.
But what happens if u do not have the cattle to get the opposition on the back foot? Shouldnt there be some compromise?

Just got home.

Shit game, pretty shit performance by us, shit refereeing and definitely shit crowd.

The Titans' fans are the worst I have ever heard, they don't make any noise unless their f**kwit of a ground announcer yells TITANS or DEEEEEEEFENCE.

The No Try looked at worse Benefit of the Doubt for me, what do you guys think?
