The No Try looked at worse Benefit of the Doubt for me, what do you guys think?

I think I should have stayed at my daughter's netball gala day, instead of coming home early to watch the game.
At least they were winning.

Exactly, like a player in the playing group publicly stating that the coach is f**ked. That can be a good indicator too don't you think?

Definitely. That's a fair indication that Kearney lost at least some of the playing group. I don't think Maitua rates Kearney as a coach, and Reni's my choice for captain next year.

But Reni also doesn't care about our future. He wants to win while he's still at the club, so any development Kearney did is likely to mean f**k-all to Maitua if he thinks Kearney didn't handle the players the right way.

Kearneys laid the platform. Sure, it's a rock bottom platform, but it's a platform. The only way is up from here, thank goodness.

But what happens if u do not have the cattle to get the opposition on the back foot? Shouldnt there be some compromise?

Sure. And you saw us change our style mid-year in an attempt to cover our weakness. But ultimately, tactical tricks only last as long as it takes for the opposition to notice the new structure and adapt their defence.

At the end of the day no gameplan will cover for a weak roster.

Agree with all that, especially Reni being captain. Was trying to think about the coaches Reni has had previously to compare. Was it Ricky and Folkes? Funnily enough they were my two preferences for Kearney's replacement (I didn't want Taylor based on-as we talked about b4-what i've heard through rugby league cirlces)

well that just proves the whole point if all he is doing is running around "baiting" people on internet forums

for the record i don't think that's all he's doing
THIS

Exactly Strider, it appears Poo Poo has "other" agendas at play.

I agreed with what he wanted to do here, and I think he's the kind of coach we needed. I still think he will turn out to have been good for the club.

Some change doesn't happen as quick as we'd like, and plenty of people resist that change, which is what cost Kearney his job. He obviously lost at least part of the playing group.
The coaching after effect of SK's SHOCK treatment waking up a sleeping giant!
You might be on to something here Poo Poo.

Is the roster really that weak? Sure there's a few nuffies but any side with the likes of Hayne, Willie Tonga, Sandow, Mannah, Poore, Hindmarsh, Maitua, Fui should be good enough to make the finals.

I thought we played some good footy today. Mostly crap though.

Thank f**k this abortion of a season will soon be over.
