Election 2012 PDRLFC

I attended the Junior League AGM last night, EG and EGJ were just there, if you wanted to talk to them you could , no mention of the election. When Roy Spagnolo had the floor, he just thanked the club officials for attending and the hard work they do, no spruiking. Ken Edwards said we have plenty to look forward to, the changes made will be of great benefit and he then said he will talk to people after the meeting and he stayed back

If you want my opinion as an involved part of the junior league, I am struggling to see what this push from ParraFirst is about ( seems more a slogan to appeal to those on forums than anything else), as the Parramatta Jnr league is now in good shape, a new Exec officer who is trusted and hard working ( the change we needed). A full time junior coaches mentor, and a further bigger level of assistance from the ARLC ( equiv 1 1/2 full time coaches), and dedicated office staff

The referees are paid by the Leagues Club, insurance is funded by the club, and I think we will have further growth looking at the commitment from those attending on behalf of their clubs

Anyway, no one from Parra First attended to make themselves available to the junior clubs, a new board of management was elected and the meeting went well.

You can always argue about the NRL side, but this concentration on the junior league from those wanting to get elected doesnt make a lot of sense, we now havea good relationship with the junior league, much more consultative that previously

Who was there from te ticket, Rpy Spagnolo ( who I see at weekend junior league games), Robert Sassen, EG, EGJ, Steve Aglio (from the junior league), all of therse people have the ongoing strength and performance of the juniors at heart

Enough from me, but the foundation appears good for the near future, development officers and coaching support now available. Ricky asked the junior league to advise rego dates for each club, and they will ensure that an NRL player attends the rego days, this current admin seem to have a good feel for the future, personally am confident we have good people in charge.

you want ppl involved who are interested ALL the time - not just turn up to an AGM once cos it happens to be a few weeks before an election

the whole setup is rubbish .... was it emjaycee who made a post about having 3 different boards a few weeks bacK? I vote for that

Strider, so we keep the current board as they turn up to all their meetings, seems eminently sensibleto me, we appear to have made changes for the better at the club.

Need to give them support now

i honestly don't have any preference for current or challengers - i think they both have seemed a bit amateur with some stuff of late .... and tbh i am nowhere near as interested anymore either

It is claimed on nospam46 Sharp or anyone from Parrafirst weren't invited, you'd have thought Sharp at least had a right be there. Was there anything anyone could do to stop them???

Certainly sounds positive Delboy and if people such as yourself involved in the junior league are happy with the direction it is taking then I see where your confusion lies with the Parrafirst ticket.

My personal opinion is that Phil is a nice guy and obviously passionate and his digital media experience is a positive for the club if he were to be voted in as digital media is obviously a huge part of our society and that won't be changing soon, I'm unsure why people here hate him so much :?

As for the others, I'm not sold on them and will unlikely consider voting for them.

I'm not sure the current FC board should be punished for the crimes of the NRL board........

How is it?

If you're suggesting he should be employed by the club as a media manager (or in any capacity) then surely you can see there is a conflict of interest if he is elected to the board as well.

Plenty of excuses as too why no one from Parrafirst showed up to the PDJRL AGM, most of them pretty weak.
