You can rest easy for a while.
thank god that's over
it would seem nearly any ex-player would get elected
I wonder how Ricky and grothe jr will get on .
Remember in 08 ( I think) Ricky ended grothe's rep career because grothe didn't turn up to a Aus training session and then Ricky came out in the media and said grothe will never play for Aus again while his coach
Just on a technical note, isn't bankruptcy discharged after 3 years? Meaning that any restriction about not sitting on boards etc is lifted after a period of time, when the person is no longer classed "a bankrupt"?
(I have no alignment to any election "team" and in fact gave one of my seven votes to Spags.)
I think people are confusing bankruptcy (which relates to a real person) and company insolvencies (which relate to a corporation). I have no direct knowledge or opinion re the old SMH stories about Roy, so I won't comment on them, but the old trick played by other people in the past is to to allow the company(s) through which one's business and tax liabilities are channeled, to become insolvent, then stack the following creditors meetings with people who are not genuinely at arms length. Unsecured creditors end out getting fisted. But none of the individuals involved need resort to declaring bankruptcy. So the declaration that one is not, or has never been, declared bankrupt is pretty much irrelevant.
Really?
You claim no direct knowledge on the SMH articles, but you continue on to comment on the very subject raised in those articles.
:sarcasm:
Just curious to know why you'd say that?

Sorry. I didn't express myself very clearly. Obviously, I read the papers (it was published in the SMH 3 years ago)....I just meant that I make no judgement on what happened / didn't happen. My point was purely a logical one.....bankruptcy has nothing to do with it in any sense. Happy to remove the offending part of my post.
:lol:I must say though, that even though I was a neutral voter and didn't block vote,
I'm highly amused at the absolute mental melt down on nospam46 regarding this result.
How many LU people are going to follow the Swans because they think we have a shit management?
f**king spare me.

And did you see the idiot today who called EGJ a Dog just because he won a seat on the board??
They thought they had it on the bag, and that everyone thought the same as them in their little bubble. Shame as I thought Phil could have added plenty to the board.
