I believe that to be correctSo that means, Canterbury never made the semis between the years 55 to 66. They then knocked us out in 1967.
Kevin Ryan was a great loss to us and a great pick up for them

A points system doesn't work. How would a points bases system value a player such a Josh Dugan last year, when he was still considered a representative player and a spine player. Would his value have dramatically decreased due to him not playing origin this year and playing centre too? How would a points system value a player such as Payne Haas, David Fifita or Papenhuzzen. It's the old "they'll play here for less" smokescreen.
They may well get less money on the cap, but are likely "well compensated" by other means.
This scenario is possible when you have a wealthy benefactor as the roosters do, or conglomerate of business people as the broncos do with the thoroughbreds.
Until the NRL get serious about player values or instigate a points based system, this rorting will continue unabated to the benefit of some and the detriment of most...
Yes easy, reviewed and upgraded / dopwngraded each year by an independant panel based on performance and achievements (rep honours). If they have a poor year..drop em a point or their BEST is past them.A points system doesn't work. Ha ha. And you still have major butt hurtYou mean like the 50's and 60's when the top 4 was always saints, Souths, Balmain and Wests.
Sounds like you're trying to convince yourself more than anyone else.My advice to you is just acknowledge what a great side this Roosters team is.
Is it true that Politis owns over 100 car dealerships around Australia ?Terry Hill only contested the validity of the draft under Nick Politis and co's instructions. They probably paid for his legal fees too. It was Easts/Politis who challenged the validity of the draft. Politis is one of the games power brokers. He was a central figure for the ARL in the Superleage war. He is definitely one of the most powerful people in the game. Easts/Politis don't want a draft, that is why we don't have a draft.
I don't know how many car dealerships Politis owns. The only one that I was aware of is City Ford.Is it true that Politis owns over 100 car dealerships around Australia ?

Thanks TS. So is there is 310 potential 3rd party sponsors there ?Mr Politis, who holds 36.3 per cent of car dealership group AP Eagers, also said it was the right time for the group to be buying rival Automotive Holdings Group because scale was becoming very important in the vehicle dealership industry.
"This is where everything is going; you need scale now,'' he said. "We'll have the right geographic mix.''
A combined AP Eagers and AHG would have 229 new-car dealership locations in Australia, 13 in New Zealand and 68 new-vehicle truck and bus dealership locations in Australia. The merged entity would have 11.9 per cent of the new-car dealership market in Australia.
