Would the RFL have the resources to broadcast this match online? Also, would their media agreements allow for it?

Sky sports have the rights to this match and chosen not to show it.

Of course RFL have the resources, you watch, by later tonight or tomorrow, via the England RL facebook page they'll have put up a good quality highlights video. So everything is in place, all they would need to add is a commentator. anyway, disappointing.

Dam! England up 18-0 after just 8 minutes.

France have now pulled it back to 18-4 though.

84-4!!!

That's shocked me! Hopefully the RFL will release the highlights. Knowing them though...

I think this could be a major turning point for the French, like when Great Britain lost 64–10 to Australia in 2002.

I believe they'll be back much stronger next year and for WC2017. Don't panic guys. Dreadful result, yes. But not the end of the world nor of International Rugby League.

We ALL need to pitch in and save France, it would do wonders for the international game and we can no longer allow them to sink into embarrassment.

England need to start helping France out...start opening the door to their young players...todays result just highlights why International League is a joke....

I think England have done plenty to help them, they brought in Catalans and now Toulouse are entering (via League One). What more can England really do? They also have the enormous task of improving themselves in order to catch the Aussies and Kiwis.

I am really disappointed in the Catalans and the way they seem to put all their emphasis and resources into signing Aussies rather than developing local players.

The whole attitude to the situation is appalling...how can a club side vs a national team get tv coverage 20,000 people...yet the home national team vs another national side get 8,000 and no coverage what so ever...

Its pathetic...

Unfortunately until Super League start to focus on there own development areas, i cant see the northern hemisphere challenging Australia or NZ on the big stage of Tournaments...I mean look at the caliber of players that are leaving the NRL this year to play in the Super League..

Surely if England can get France and Wales up to a higher standard by developing their junior players through Super League...it can only benefit England in the long run?? Especially whilst Super League loses all the best players to the NRL...

I guess Catalan is more focused on results now in stead of balancing it with development...they have cut 5 French players for next year and signed 2 kiwis, 3 Aussies, 1 PNG and 2 English players...the only positive is 4 of the French players are going to other UK Clubs....Also 5 Overseas players are leaving the club too.

I guess this comment says it all:

Denied the services of around a dozen regulars, France coach Richard Agar was forced to include three debutants as well as six other players with just one cap apiece
