if leeds had fielded the same team that won the grand final you'd have lost and you know it lol

and yes top 2 well done...and it'll still be top two even when we whoop your asses 3-0 son...so what does that say about the rankings?

You guys should win...shit we have no haves we have an NRL rookie who playe 3 or 4 games at half and a wing/fullback as a stand off lol ...we all know the reason its about making money..the only thing ill be disappointed about is if we get thrashed in every match..i believe we have a strong enough forward back and good backs to match if not better England...but the lack of a kicking game means we will struggle massively.

The funny thing is the Poms will talk them selves up then come back down these ways for the RLWC and continue there poor record...

The last 11 matches in Australia have a record of 3 wins (two narrow ones against PNG and Samoa), a Draw (against NZ Maori) and 7 losses..

We've had plenty of NRL superstars who failed dismally in Europe. Drat I've just realised they were all probably past it.

And NZ have only won 3 games here against us since 2002....

Id did the stats a few week ago...since 2000 we've played 19 games against each other home & away...and its 9 wins each & one draw..

So come on world number ones....give us a lesson lol...just to remind you..the last 2 games you played in hull ended 28-6 & 44-0...good luck lol

For the record @roughy, I don't mean any spite. It's just I (as a jaded internationalist) have watched every series for the last decade and a half be talked up by the English only to end in "what could have been". I would love to see the poms come good, but...

...let's hope I am wrong.

No spite mate...its all banter..

And for the record...the big 3 have never been more equally matched...thats because you've improved abit,we've improved loads, down to our players being in the NRL,...but the old aussies are too old and the nu-breed are too young...they've come back to our level...we've not matched theirs...

But all of your players play in the vastly superior NRL whereas most of ours play in the shit super league! The Kiwis will win at a canter won't they? Or are you getting the excuses in early?

Says it all right here:

No excuses...just stating the fact like i did weeks ago...all the pressure is on England as everyone knows we have no halves and you are at home with the Kiwis poor record in England - you should win the series....we are pretty realistic down here about this series. That shows how delusional you are when people state the facts you call them excuses.

Please explain when you last won a tournament that included the top nations? Wasn't it 40 years ago? In fact when was the last time you beat Australia? Once in 10 years?

He forgets we're missing 5-6 and have 7 or so on debut.....and we'll still win 3-0

We are missing our captain, the lock of the year in the NRL, the highest try scorer in NZ History, the golden boot winner, and one of the best stand offs in the NRL.....

Pretty handy players missing that would make a massive difference....

I mean its not like we have 13 Professional Clubs to pick from

But if you guys win the series...you keep telling yourself how good you guys are then come down these ways and struggle again....

You've got all bases covered. You win - superior NRL. We win -superior NRL. Difference is ALL of your players are from the NRL whereas most of ours are from the league you dismiss out of hand. By your logic it's New Zealand all the way.

Its your own people that stated it is a reason why England is better...hell even your coach is an assistant coach in the NRL:lol::lol::lol:

You didn't answer the Question about what you have won in the last 40 years???

It must hurt that you have 12 or 13 team (what ever it was this year) professional competition, yet a Nation with only one professional team has been way more successful over the past 10-20 years...

If your competition is so great, why do you have to pick players from the NRL?

Did we struggle last year???

.we could have kicked that penalty to draw with you..and miilimeters from beating australia...hardly struggling lad..

And ive been going on about how you lot aren't as good as you think you are...not how good we are...

But like DP said you've covered all bases win or lose lol

Just a once off drop in to inform that on October 20 the RLEF posted on their FB page a story about the FFRXIII announced a quadripartite agreement that seems to confirm that it will soon have access to the scholastic system. Apparently negotiations started in 2012. :)

For Rugby League to thrive again in France they would have to over a period of time reduce the imports they have from the NRL to nothing. Getting rid of British players might be different due to EU law, but something needs to be done for the sake of French and international Rugby League.

Really the main difference between NZ and France is that NZ has a heap of players outside their 1 team in the comp. Every NRL side has around 3-5 Kiwis, and most SL sides have some too.

Imagine that with French players. If the bottom half of SL can't scrape up enough good talent from their systems maybe they should look to the French youth. It would benefit both that club, the SL comp, and France RL.

To be honest i would like to see a proven coach from australia take on the french side as a long term project. Give him the authority to establish aussie style structures from the national team down to youth rep sides.

Im general we need the ARLC and RFL to take ownership of things like goverance standards across thr playing countries, get everybody on the same page and start diverting funds to the RLIF for central grants to governing bodies with goverance conditions and goals to meet.

Yes they need a good coach, no they don't need Australia to sort out their problems.
You can argue that the ARLC has responsibility to develop the Pacific, since we pillage them for talent, but we should have neither the responsibility nor the authority to sort out Europe's problems.

Not sure how it's relevant to this thread TBH, France got flogged because most of their good players didn't play in this match. Imagine a NZ team with a couple of NRL players, a bunch of blokes from the NSW Cup/U20s and a few from the local NZ comp, that's pretty much what France fielded yesterday. They could field a fully pro 17 and give most nations a game if they wanted to, they just didn't do it for whatever reason.

Something has to change

Where did I say the SL is so great? Ah well, you just carry on leeching off the Aussies. Without them you're nothing.

You should really do some research before making bold statements like that.

You do know that each year around 700 teenage league players are signed/move from NZ to Australia? NRL club scouts are now everywhere in NZ.

Add to this the Warriors have the most successful U20’s team in the history, and I also believe have had the most convert from U20’s to NRL. Every year we have other NRL clubs signing our juniors. It would be very uncommon to find and NRL club with no Kiwi kids in their U20’s/NRL teams…

They are one of the best supported clubs in the NRL, especially on away games with all the expat Kiwis in Australia. Is it not ironic that NRL clubs are now playing home matches in NZ?

The Warriors are the number one sold jersey in the NRL..

Hardly stats that show NZ is leeching off the NRL…A good proportion of the NRL Stars are Kiwi players…then you add in the TV Deal with SKY Tv to the NRL…

Oh lets not forget the NRL Auckland Nines initiative that was lead by NZ and now Australia want it played in Australia…

NZ adds so much to the NRL, it’s not surprising there are Australians calling for a second team in NZ.

Edit:

47 Players have come from the Warriors U20's to NRL level...the most of any club. That is probably more than 2 years worth in the Super League and this number doesn't even include the players that are signed up by other clubs straight from local league..

Yup we clearly leech off the NRL..:clap:
