Looking forward to this match. Sadly it's not getting the respect it deserves and is being overshadowed by Leeds vs NZ plus the upcoming England/NZ series. No TV coverage either :(

For the first time today I saw a mention of it on one of RFL's social media pages, make of it what you will:

West and South Stand now SOLD OUT at Leigh Sports Village - tickets selling very fast for East Stand, don't miss out www.rugbyleaguetickets.co.uk
Cash turnstile in operation in the North Stand.

Just FYI same fixture, same venue in 2010, drew: 7,951

I hope they can comfortably beat that on Friday.

Cracking 8,000 would be a huge, huge success IMO given that the RFL have made it abundantly clear how little they value this match and the idea of playing France.

On the game itself, hopefully France can stay within 20 points. I would have stayed up to watch match, shared links on Facebook etc, told people about it, but well that's not possible is it :(

Team picks itself really apart from which 2nd rows miss out. Interesting that Williams is getting game time ahead of Smith and Gale. Think we will see Tomkins at 6 for the first test.

From what I'm reading on other sites, it will be nearer to 10,000. Let's hope so.

It's a shame that we are even discussing whether an international between England & France should be broadcast! It's a reflection of a very deep seeded resentment of our game from players far above our mere standing as fans! It's a little known fact that the French RL team was the first ever to beat an English national side on home soil in any football code or sport for that matter. A fact not known, just like the massive repression RL has had to face around the world. The repression of the game is a reality that is not publicized or discussed in the general public. Once again the powers that be have ways of achieving minimal knowledge of this "restraint of trade" or "repression". Wonder if the secret will become general knowledge and show this very outdated version of "rugby" RU to be the farce and con job it is?

It is a tragedy that its even questioned that a RL international between England and France is televised..

LJC - each new post I read of yours almost has me standing up in my chair and giving a slow clap

Blame the muppets who run the game over in the UK, they seem more concerned about promoting a car crash, relegation million pound game (whatever the hell that means) between two clubs who are always in or on the verge of administration/bankruptcy. Both based in the same region. Just about sums up this current RFL administration. Insular and going backwards at a fast rate.
