RLIF should be in charge of international RL TV rights
Not local leagues
Its a test series...its for the RFL & NZRL to sort out..

This is exactly what should not be happening. Its a test series...its for the RFL & NZRL to sort out..
:thumnBy doing the international program in isolation like this does not maximise international exposure
This is what creates all of the problems in the first place
2015 International Program should include
- NZ v Eng Test Series
- All RLWC2017 Qualifiers MEA Pacific Americas & Europe
- Euro Cup
- Pacific Tests
And they should be able to get enough to pay Test playing wages and cover travel costs
Where wages are tiered
eg Tier 1 series 60k match payment
Tier 2 series 40k match payment
Tier 3 series 20k match payment

The RLIF didn't exist in 2008.Also, the RLIF don't have strong resources to negotiate with TV networks, compared to the ARLC and probably not compared to the RFL. It's probably more likely that a good deal will come from those national governing bodies than the RLIF. For the 08 world cup, I'm sure the NRL stepped in and gave assistance for production of the games. I think they assisted in some stadium deals too.

How much can we sell the package of international RL for ?
And we need to have a way to deliver it to all 16 countries ?
