BRISBANE RAKE COULD BE CHARGED UNDER GALLEN RULE

NRL match review committee chairman Greg McCallum has said players that play for penalties could be charged with bringing the game into disrepute following last year's diving fiasco involving Paul Gallen.

It means Michael Ennis could be charged under the code of conduct and may be required to face the judiciary.

"When Paul Gallen was involved in an incident the league reaffirmed its position that we can take action against players who bring the game into disrepute," McCallum said.

"Having not yet seen the [Ennis] incident, I can't comment on how it would apply, but everyone was reminded of their obligations last year around the time players were allegedly diving.

"Gamesmanship is not part of the game now."

I saw it on the footy show today. He gave his team mates a good wink. Very disappointed, ennis has always been a wank though. Get off my team already.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt in 2007 with his gamesmanship vs the Eels (same game when girl Hayne dived) but not anymore. The guy is another gallen...no time for him

I've heard a couple of Newcastle fans say he had a bad attitude while there and I think we're seeing it come to light. I've got no problem with the NRL sitting him on the sidelines, the wink is clear as day on the TV footage.

I like the attitude of you Broncos fans. Usually supporters are one-eyed regardless of what their players do. Good stuff. I agree on Ennis, although what Blair did looked bad also, there's no excuse for diving.

Most of the fans of the Broncos call a spade a spade. Of course there are fairyland fans who never criticise their team

As ordinary as it is, i have no problem with the fanbase letting a player know their actions are deemed "catlike" so to speak. Its seemingly better then the ineffectual NRL judiciary lately.

im a very one eyed broncos fan, but i hate diving, if nothing actually foul was going on. This was a dickhead move from Ennis that i'm not a fan of. As a fan of football, i watch players dive all the time and im sick of it, i dont want to see the same thing happen to rugby league.

When players do it to slow the clock down, why dont they charge them technically its not in the spirit of the game.

I actually dont mind diving in our game, its different to soccer. Obviously if they dive they have a chance to look at it and if it went high then it SHOULD be a penalty if it didnt then it doesnt its not like soccer when they pretend their is contact.

Speak of the devil. Here is your classic case of a wanker fan who has his head soooo deep in the sand he can smell the sweet and sour sauce in china.

Wow!!!

All of one minute to reply.

Obviously sweating on a reaction.

Wanker troll

if he's charged and suspended for a week for what he did I'll be happy it will also send a message to the rest of the NRL that diving isn't on.

Pretty funny considering Wayne's comments last year on players taking dives and his suggestions that his team was above that kind of thing.

Sorry we don't want him.

Maybe for your sake he'll follow Benny and go back to the Dragons.

Love to see him get charged and suspended. But sadly I can't see it happening. Imagine his defence,"It wasn't a wink, it was a one eyed squint of pain."
