From what I've read it would be for the games where Parramatta Stadium would be too small for......if the team is that successful fans will go.

Indeed, and a petition wouldn't have made the slightest bit of difference to Ken Edwards wanting to do his own thing and shift the club to Homebush asap, while the Board (elected by members) want to commit to Parramatta Stadium as our home.

The Board was elected three months ago - if they are finding employees who are resistant to the direction for the club that the members recently/overwhelmingly voted for, then like the CEO they just have to go. That's how member-driven organisations are governed and run regardless of petitions and fan forums.

Ken has good history with the stadium ...is that the reason why he was keen?

And the answer to your questions is.... yes it wouldn't have made a difference (reference Geronimo's post in another thread indicating Roy/3P would have been rid of Ken earlier), and yes since nothing has changed I believe the "urgent fan forum" idea was hysterical and agenda driven.

Was he really that bad, apart from people overreacting to his one (provocative) comment about whether or not our future could be guaranteed (in light of proposed changes to laws governing clubs)? At leastthe joint was in better order back then, than it has been in the four years since :sarcasm:.
