Apparently there were a few complaints about the new artificial surface at Widnes with plenty of players having grazed knees and elbows at the end of the game.

wish he'd stick 10kg on though

You not seen him this year?

That was boxing day and according to Jason Davidson, our trainer, he's put on 4kg since then.

Bugger me.

Castleford win 24-10.

Everyone on the ground and in the crowd deserve a medal. Or something.

Time for a hot shower.

8,120 at Widnes, 15,343 at Leeds, 4,924 at London, 5,242 at Salford which is pretty depressing for the opening of their new stadium.

Castleford 24-10 Salford..

I have seen the highlights and while I can't make full judgements, but the quality is looking great in 2012. A lot of teams have really worked it and considering we haven't seen a massive 50-30 scoreline yet, that keeps me happy.

I don't know if you've spent too much time listening to the likes of Phil Gould or whoever but there are barely ever scorelines like that.

That London crowd is pretty impressive! Can't remember the last time they got such a crowd!

Anyway, as far as SL goes...

The outside defence used to be awful in the British game and you could bet that if there was a sweeping move with dummy runners a try would be scored 7 times out of 10. Over the past few seasons though this has improved out of sight and in general the younger English players can read read whats happening in front of them better than the guys who were born in the early 80's could.

How did the Cas hookers go, particularly young Clark? Did they run with all three?

Meant to watch the game but forgot it wouldn't be replayed on TV over here.

Clark pretty much swung the game when he came off the bench, and Milner scored the decisive try to give put Castleford out of reach. I think Hudson was left out of the side.

That was an over exaggeration and it obviously had its desired effect haha! I have just never been a massive fan of their product up until the last few years.

Nope but I have been paying more and more attention every year since about 2009. I remember I used to hate watching it because of how they played but they are making it a lot more attractive to me now. hence the fan girling.

Looking at some of the pictures being put up, it's hard to believe that Super League is now supposedly a summer sport.

The players deserve every penny they get, if not much much more, when they are playing so many games a season and often in horrible conditions.

Just referring back to Kallum Watkins, one of my favourite tries from last year was this one...

As for Salford v Cas, I felt sorry for the players playing in those conditions and under the circumstances it was a decent match, it just disappoints me when unfashionable players don't get the credit they deserve, for example Jake Emmitt was really strong for Cas and Richard Owen was good but i knew the nutters would give Rangi Chase the man of the match when he didn't deserve it.
