If i was vid ref i would have denied that try! there was no downward pressure and IMO it grazed the top, no so much forcefully placed down. But I am still not up in arms over it being awarded.

8 point tries are only for offences in the act of scoring.

Don't think downward pressure is needed, but there would've been anyway, however minor.
